Ahahahah, so this is what I did with a little of my free time. I've added them to my header, too, so I'm looking forward to randomly seeing them.

yeah, i kind of don't know what i was thinking with the second one, but it made sense at the time. it's sort of hilarious. BOYS. )

While I'm not normally a huge fan of A Softer World, I find the ASW remixes to be hilarious. Let me know if you've got a request or something. =D

A;LSJDLFJASLDFJASDLJF AHAHAHAHA I HOPE SOMEONE FILLS THIS [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic PROMPT OMFG

RPF, Lady Gaga&Joseph Gordon-Levitt, she's had a crush on him ever since Angels in the Outfield and then she sees the video of him singing "Bad Romance"

And now I want to read/write something where they're in a dream and Eames forges Lady Gaga (in one of her crazier-looking personas) but Arthur is so uninterested in pop culture that he doesn't know the reference and is totally turned on and freaked out at the same time. AHAHAHAH THIS MENTAL IMAGE WILL KEEP ME ENTERTAINED FOR... at least half an hour.

In other news, this was originally going to be a post about how I really really want to write more introspective ficlets for Brick but I'm lazy. I need prompts because I have no ideas for one (because I'm lazy), and also whatever I write will definitely be a ficlet as the language thing is somewhat difficult to sustain for anything longer than 1,000 words at a time (because I'm lazy).

There you have it.

ETA: Ahahah, today's XKCD is too true.

from my tumblr post:

from ryan north (of qwantz.com):
Joey Comeau (of asofterworld.com) gave me a very nice present yesterday, and that present was every Mario-related article on Wikipedia gathered, crossreferenced, printed and bound in a two-volume set. I now own a custom Mario encyclopedia, and it is amazing. Thanks Joey! I’m looking forward to the next time someone asks me a Mario question so I can peer over my glasses and say “Let me refer to my CUSTOM ENCYCLOPEDIA ON THAT SUBJECT” while retrieving the volumes from my study.

guys, this is so fucking awesome, i want to be able to make my own custom encyclopedia of ANYTHING from wikipedia. (or give one as a gift.)

But you wouldn't be able to tell because I just SPENT THE WHOLE FUCKING NIGHT -- and yes, I mean the last seven hours re-familiarising myself with CSS and S2 codes so that I could change my layout and add in a rotating header.

SELF, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!

In any case, I finally figured out something that was being stubborn, so... yay?

I still have some more tweaking to do; mostly of colors, but I'd like to create some C6D headers in the same vein as the Inception ones above. (For which, btw, credit goes to A Softer World comics and [livejournal.com profile] greenpixiehair, who brilliantly combined the two and kindly gave me permission to use them.)

But for right now, I just want to sleep; this is kind of what I feel like:

Today's XKCD is absolutely fabulous. And so very true (see the hover text).

So in other news, Saturday was full of birthday parties that I only stayed at for a short time (unfortunately). [livejournal.com profile] dressdragn's ice-cream party was lovely -- I really enjoyed getting to hang and chat with the bunch of you! Also, Anna, your watermelon salsa was FUCKING AMAZING AND I NEED TO MAKE IT ASAP! I don't even like watermelon. AT ALL. But this was just delicious!! [livejournal.com profile] loudnbothered, your party was great -- I was especially happy to see people I haven't seen in forever, like [livejournal.com profile] bondagepenguin! John, I love your house, but please get a fan next time you have that many people over in the middle of the summer! Also, meeting [livejournal.com profile] athena_chan was great, especially having convinced her to ditch her own house party and come to the club with me! =D That was a great time, and definitely scheduled for a repeat next month!

Yep, two industrial clubs in two nights this weekend! IT WAS AWESOME. I used to go more often, but haven't been in the mood for the longest time. The second one had a more interesting crowd but I generally liked the music of the first better. Also, did I mention that I ran into tech friends at the end of the first? Unexpectedly awesome. =D Also, did I mention that I got to step on someone? Um, and I'd like to do it again please? I was pretty beat by the end of the second one, though, and had to just say screw it and take a cab home. Left at 3am to get food (delicious falafel) over near Rivington, I think, but I was already on my last legs.

Got up at 1pm on Sunday, which was really nice, considering I'd only had 3 hours of sleep from 5:30 to 8:30am on Saturday. And I didn't do much, though since I was spending the day with my parents, it wasn't as relaxing as it could have been.

And here I am now at work on Monday. Sigh.

Listen people, I'm looking forward to seeing TRON at the Rubin Museum this Friday. COME AND JOIN ME OR DIE!

Pancakes!

I have been super busy at work (still!) and also I have a Twitter gadget in my gmail, and since I'm on gmail all day long, I am also keeping updated on Twitter all day long. In the meantime, my LJ has suffered from my busyness.

KATSUCON! Will be in Virginia all weekend, running the booth (aka Cosclips, Katsucon's official photo booth)! If you're going to be at Katsu this year, stop by the booth and say hello! I have a feeling this con is going to be hectic and awesome. AND DRUNK. I'm driving back to NYC on Sunday -- hopefully by early evening. Luckily, I've got Monday off from work, so I get to leisurely return Jim's car to NJ and then make my way back into the city. I also don't have Japanese class that day, so I'm fucking set.

I have an excellent story to go along with this -- on Monday I called uline.com to order some supplies to be delivered to the hotel. So when I was telling the customer service rep the address of the hotel, she said, "Is this for Katsucon?" I was like "o_O! YES! We're Katsucon's official photo booth!" HAHAHA. It was AMAZINGLY AWESOME AND COINCIDENTAL AND COOL! So I told her to stop by the booth and say hi. I should have offered her a free photo or something, but didn't think of it at the time. Hopefully she'll stop by. That was just awesome and TOTALLY made my day. =D

There were other things I wanted to talk about. Dammit, why can't I think of them? Like how I got a PS3 and Judy got a 32" LCD HDTV, so now we're all tricked out and it's nice about the PS3 and all, but HOCKEY! HAHAHAHA! OH BABY!

BTW, today's XKCD is awesome.

Um, um, um... OH YEAH! I was talking to a coworker of mine whom I've been telling about cons and such. I sent her the link to Judy's flickr to show her some stuff and she asked if this chick is Sailor Moon? So I explained a little, prefacing by saying that it would sound ridiculous. And after a bit of back-and-forth, she said, "man, ever since i met you my life has gotten a lot more interesting and a lot less realistic."

DO YOU KNOW HOW AWESOME THAT WAS? =D That totally made my day! Now I'm just going around with a big smile on my face! =D

Con report and MORE STUFF on Monday, I hope.

Oh yeah, I also made pancakes for the first time on Sunday night. And now everyone's teasing me about it. WHAT! Jeez, it's not EVERYONE makes and eats pancakes all the time, people! =P

Subversive!

In somewhat related news, I went to see Religulous on Sunday with my parents.

Just so very amusing: #1194 #1196

Not so amusing: Liz is having knee surgery today. Turns out she did tear her ACL in that ski fall. The people at Bellevue said she hadn't torn her ACL, but to come back. She didn't go back. But then she went to another doctor last week. And they said her ACL is torn.

She may have to postpone Spain til next summer. Which shouldn't be too big a deal if that's the case, but hopefully her recovery will be relatively speedy. *crosses fingers*

;_;

Today's xkcd is totally full of WIN!

Last night's NA was fun fun. =D

So tomorrow I'll be borrowing Vince's car, driving up to Albany and then back on Sunday. And I just got a cold AGAIN, this time totally courtesy of Judy.

Wait, maybe I should go pick up the car tonight instead of tomorrow morning.

Sometimes you have to read the ALT (hover) text too!

In other, completely unrelated news, Juliet came over last night to play Kingdom Hearts, but Liz has the memory card with her save on it, so that was a bust. Instead, I ended up playing Silent Hill 2. Which is like, freaking amazing for me! Not that I got very far 'cause she was only able to stay for a few hours, but I was very proud of myself for whacking and kicking those mannequins and spitting prostitutes. Yeah, go me! Juliet jumped a foot in the cut scene where you first see Pyramid Head up close. LOLOLOL~! And when Maryann came home at around 10:30 or so, she knocked on the door and scared the shit out of us. Heehee. Fun times!
