Clearly I've been on a TV-watching kick recently. Aside from the 4 eps of Supernatural I mentioned in a previous post, I've also caught up on:

The last 9 eps of The Mentalist (season 3). Which I really watch for Simon Baker's shamelessly impertinent Holmesian character, Patrick Jane... and Cho's SUPER EXTRA DRY delivery of every single line ever. I'd have dropped this show long, long ago if it weren't for these two characters. There's no episode in which they do not make me happy (and no, I don't ship them) so I just couldn't stop watching.
All 3 eps of BBC Sherlock. The first episode was perfect, or as near to it as I think we'll get! Cumberbatch is amazing as Holmes; Holmes and Watson's relationship is. just. perfect. Their give-and-take is simply a delight. Eps 2 and 3 were not as good as 1, but (at least in my mind) a lot can be forgiven, plot-wise, when the characters are just so dead on.

I find it hard to ship Holmes and Watson in my own head... but that's what awesome fic writers are for, y/y?! Do yourself a favor and read wordstrings's EPICALLY FUCKING AMAZING Paradox Series. It features sociopathically-fucked-up!Holmes and there-to-keep-him-on-the-right-track!Watson. I can't thank pixie_darling enough for bringing this to my attention. NGL, I think I may be spoiled for anything else in this fandom after having read this one.
Series 1 of Merlin. Plus the first 2 eps of season 2. I enjoyed what I've seen and, oddly enough (because I often like the main character best) I like Arthur more than Merlin? This makes my brow furrow to think on because by all rights I really thought I'd like Merlin more. My frustration with the fact that Merlin hasn't told Arthur about his abilities is kind of peaking. I don't normally like spoilers but I think a teeny tiny one in this case would help me to persevere...

So. Does Arthur, at any point up to the current series 3 episode, find out about Merlin's abilities? I'M BEGGING FOR SOMEONE TO TELL ME HE DOES. Don't tell me how or when or why, but if the answer is yes, I'm going to dive back in and continue watching and push through to the end. But if the answer is no.... I'll probably stop watching now... unless someone can give me a really good reason to keep going.

I watched the first two episodes of Shattered a month or so ago, but I dunno... it was good but... I think I'm just not quite in the mood for it just yet. I'm downloading all the episodes for when I want some hardboiled cop stuff. I hope it's soon because I'm actually missing all my CKR-squeeing buddies from C6D fandom. =(

ION, Inception fandom has slowed down quite a bit AND IT MAKES ME EXTREMELY SAD. Especially since I'm so impatiently awaiting updates on a multitude of WIPs. This is probably why I'm dipping into other fandoms for a fix. Jesus. THEN AGAIN, IT'S ONLY SIXTEEN DAYS UNTIL INCEPTION IS RELEASED ON DVD/BLURAY SO I'M HOPING THERE WILL BE AN UPSURGE IN FIC AGAIN.

so I'll be on my phone all weekend while at dragon*con and then I dunno what I'm going to do about the laptop but basically--

tl;dr NO SHATTERED FOR ME IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.

ETA: and since i was thinking i might try to work on fucking fic on the plane (not that that's going to happen now), the only things that might make me feel better are updates on THE MUSIC-MAKERS from mami_san and/or MORE HERPESCOUCH!FIC from zarathuse.

And lastly, I CANNOT FREAKING WAIT TO READ/WRITE FIC ABOUT THIS SHOW. Seriously, I'm now dreaming of some sort of well-written casefic. ...and OMG, dS/Shattered crossover fic (gen or not)? I'm practically drooling....

Hawks v. Flyers GAME 3 TONIGHT! By 10pm I will probably have died of a tension headache. LET'S GO HAWKS!

(Though unfortunately no sexy!twisty!Callum in a hoodie with a camera. Guh, that scene was just so hot. Though I don't mind the exchange for sexy!intense!Callum...)

BTW, HELLYEAH concert last night was fucking amazing -- met a bunch of crazy and awesome people from CT, NJ, and upstate NY, including a DJ from Sirius (and with all of whom contact info was exchanged); drank too much; discovered that the opening band (Black Water Rising) is AWESOME, and from Brooklyn; made poor life choices; got home too late (3am) and most unfortunately, was not able to sleep through my hangover as I usually do, so had a craptastic morning at work.

Leaving for the Hole concert in another hour. Don't have as much energy as last night, but I care less about Hole, so I'm good.

The now-obsolete (as the show has apparently gone through a few changes since this was made) trailer for CKR's new TV show, Shattered, which is supposed to air this fall. Fall is WAYYYY too far away though! I have to wait til the fall for HOCKEY ALREADY OKAY! AND NOW THIS! A show in which CKR is FINALLY THE MAIN CHARACTER.
