I had this all written out and the IE ate it. Bastard.

I took my beloved 160g external harddrive over to Angelica's house last night and stole all her anime!

Well, okay, not all. But I did get a goodly amount of anime that I was interested in. I got some of the latest episodes of Bleach and Wild Striker, so I'm very happy that I can continue watching these series now.

Last weekend, I had an urge to see the end of Whistle! again, so I did. But that kind of got me in the mood to see more of Wild Striker. I'm either on episode 33 or 34, but the rest of the episodes I had on the disc (up to 37) were corrupt! =( So now I have from 37 to whatever the latest release was, but I'm going to have to go and find 33-37. Angelica did a quick search and found a batch of 25-36, which I suppose I'll have to try and download this weekend.

I also now have ParaKiss and Genshiken, which I'm looking forward to watching (but I have to watch Wild Striker first, 'cause I'm really back into that right now).

One of the things she didn't have that I do want to see is Honey and Clover, so I'll have to look for that as well.

Oh! And I found those Naruto discs that [livejournal.com profile] suzume_sparrow sent me earlier this summer! And the Prince of Tennis that [livejournal.com profile] zerotwofan sent too! So those are on my to-be-watched list also! (I have a feeling neither are going to-be-watched very soon, though.)

Note to self: ask Will if I can lend FMA to Dave.

Off to Mudvayne concert very soon!

So, I got 4 hours of sleep, but we got to the airport at 10:30am, and we actually made it onto the 11:30 flight!!! Angelica and I were each sitting in the middle seat of the middle aisle of our respective rows, so we weren't sitting together, but she was sitting right behind me.

I watched anime! Although I didn't get to watch up to episode 47 of Bleach like I wanted to (I'm up to episode 38 right now, I believe), I did start watching Full Metal Alchemist! I saw up to episode 6 on the plane, before my laptop battery got down to 20% and I didn't want to keep it on any longer. But I watched two more episodes today, and I really, really like it! Ed and Al are cool and angsty and awesome, and I like them.

The plane landed around 2:30 and after bumping into Jana upon entering the hotel, luckily, we were able to get into Christine's room, even though she was out and about in Chinatown at the time. We dumped our stuff and went to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] jana1x2x1, [livejournal.com profile] merith, [livejournal.com profile] hyanan, and several others to Japan Town to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] zerotwofan, [livejournal.com profile] dc_logan, Susan & [livejournal.com profile] yaoichick, and others! We spent lots of time in/near the Kinokuniya in the mall there, then went to Iroha for dinner (which was omg yummy yummy food).

I do so love Ycon; it's the only chance to get together with all these people! Oh, we do have so much fun and laughter together!

I have now watched up to episode... er, somewhere between 30 and 34. I'm enjoying it very much, but ~ oddly ~ I am not in *squee* mode. I don't know why, exactly. I feel I should be. But I am not. My favorite characters thus far are Ichigo and Urahara, oh, and Inoue! She's so cute. ^^ I just saw the episodes where they show a lot about Rukia and Renji's pasts, and I have to admit to liking him a bit more now (not that I dislike him or anything). Angelica, did you like Renji as much as you do now, from the beginning? Or did you like him, but then like him more further into the series? Sharon, what's your take on the series? Who are your favorites?

Off topically, my mom has to go on a business trip to Bangkok, Thailand from this Friday (10/14) to Wednesday (10/26), the day before I leave for Yaoicon. My father will be going with her, and they'll be doing a day or two stopover in Guilin, China. I believe that one of his sisters and her daughter will be traveling there to meet up with them! It's been over 30 years since he last saw all but two of his eight siblings. I'm excited for him -- I just wish we could afford for him to see more of his family. But even if we could, I believe Indonesia has an avian flu going around or something.

On the other hand, this means that Liz, Maryann and I will be parent-free for almost two weeks! Yay! This also means I have the run of the car to go wheresoever I choose. Fortunately for my parents, they raised a responsible little girl who will not overuse or take too much advantage of car privileges. Indeed.

Oh, happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] bondagepenguin! =D
