osarabaI was on the R train coming home with Liz tonight and I looked over about 10 seats away... there was a guy who was sitting in one of the 3-seaters next to another guy, and they were talking. The guy who was turned away from me had the most awesome haircut -- cut/shaved head except for a spikey mohawk going down the middle, with some bangs hanging over in front, blond hair. I looked at the guy next to him and observed his expression as he was paying close attention to what the blond-mohawk guy was saying, and thought "I wonder if they're gay," 'cause the guy's expression was that sort you get when you're I guess, really interested in the other person. At least, that's what it seemed like to me. But then I thought naaah, 'cause I must be projecting.
I kept looking and thinking, "I wish he'd turn this way so I could see the front of his hair/face." So I turned around to tell Liz this very thing, and when she saw him turning, she made a noise, so I turned to look at him and caught his profile. I swear, my heart skipped a beat! He looked so much like Randy Harrison (Justin from Queer as Folk). Meanwhile, we pulled into the station. After a few seconds of just sitting there with the doors open, they stood up and walked out, and the train doors closed behind them. I wanted to jump up, pound on the doors to let me out, pleeeeease... but the train began pulling out of the station. As they walked up the steps I got a clear view of his face and it was indeed Randy Harrison, unless he was the best look-alike I've ever seen. (Does anyone know what his hair looks like recently? I would absolutely swear he was the real thing, though.)
OMGOMGOMGOMG! I was massive giddy fangirling for a long time after that - happy because I'd just seen Randy Harrison, mad because I missed the opportunity to say something to him because I'd just identified him seconds before he got off the fucking train, and frustrated because I couldn't call Angelica to tell her until I got out of the subway! (Whose response, btw, was nice but just not ecstatic enough to satisfy my fangirling needs -- I needed something along the lines of "OMG! Really?! Where? How did he look? You lucky bitch, you!")

As disappointed as I am for not having been able to say something to him, I'm just ecstatic that I spotted him; it was just cool to see him out and about like an everyday person, not just an actor on the TV screen, you know?

...though I have to admit that he's so adorable as a prep too.
