Yaoi vs. Yuri

osarabaI find myself rebelling slightly against yaoi at the moment. I think I've been on Yaoi overload 'cause of everyone's massive obsession with yaoi pairings. But in spite of all that I am once again making the effort to attend Yaoi-con in San Francisco once again, this year. I think it has more to do with the friends that will be there, rather than the con itself. Lord knows, I didn't think the con was anything that great last year.
And although I've been into (hearing, at least, about) SeiferxSquall... I'm more intrigued at the moment by ShivaxQuistis... LOL.
But in any case, I've been looking at airfare prices, and so far hotwire.com and jetblue.com have been the least expensive at around $250/round trip, each. But I think I may just wait and see if hotwire is going to have another sale like they did last year. I certainly hope so.
Let's see... that makes it: Yuricon, Otakon, Shoujocon, and then Yaoicon this year. That's just about equal with last year. I wonder how I'll afford it; I'm not making as much as I was last year.
Not to mention, I also have to pay for those Metallica tickets, and the transportation is much more expensive this year than last year! And I'll have to pay for Liz too, because I really don't think my parents can afford to pay more than they're already giving her for Otakon... I'm just really hoping that Yvette will keep her word about giving us money for each of the cons. I'm pretty definite that she'll give us around $100 each for Otakon and Yaoicon, but I'm also hoping for at least $50 each for Yuricon and Shoujocon.
