Long day.

Went to work earlier than usual today 'cause some students from the School of Visual Arts were setting up their window-theme projects in our window today. Some of the shops that participated got really nice projects (the theme is a snowman, tailored to suit each specific store), but ours, while not hideous, is definitely not nice.

But after taking 3 hours to set up the "snowman" (I'll have pics later in the week) in the front window, Fay and I did our best to further decorate the "snowman" with clothes from the store. So even though Fay stayed from 11:30 'til 5, it wasn't so bad 'cause we were busy -- either with customers, or watching them set up the "snowman."

Before they started setting up, though, I was taking down the table and mannequins in the front window when Aleza came in! It's really nice that she thinks to stop by whenever she's in/near Grand Central. (Aleza is one of our closest friends from high school. And, no, I'm not talking about me and my multiple personalities, I mean me and Angelica.) It was nice to see her again, even if it was only for a few minutes 'cause she had to catch a train. I did take the opportunity to show off my earrings... but only because I noticed that she had her 3rd holes repierced. Besides, she'd seen all of my piercings before, except for the Industrial.

So that was cute.

Oh! Last night I went to see Die Another Day with my father and sister. All I have to say is that the special effects are really bad, the plot was more stupid than the usual James Bond plots, and the bad guy had way too much of a comic book super-villain/arch-enemy feel to him. On the other hand, I though Halle Berry (is that how you spell her name?) was a much better "Bond girl" than many other (stupid/incompetent) Bond girls in 007 history, and I thought the opening credits were really well done (and a bit different than the usual Bond movie openings). Obviously, they spent all the special effects budget money on the opening and The Car ('cause you know that every Bond movie has a Car with a capital "c"), and said to Hell with everything else. Something along the lines of "No, no, we don't need the background to look real; just use a bluescreen! No, no, the cheaper bluescreen!"

Well, there's my review. The only other movies I want to see for the rest of the year are Star Trek: Nemesis and LOTR: The Two Towers.

When you know what you're doing, let us know...

We will do that. DC is going to be taking us to all the places she knows. She's very familiar with NYC, whereas Jay and I are clueless. I'm sure we'd love to see you, if possible. I know we're being let off the bus around 52nd St. Any recommendations you have for things to do or see will be appreciated!
