Never get rug burn around your tattoo.

Last Wednesday night/Thursday morning, we were all (Liz, Angelica and I) over Louie's house working on some props for our cosplay group for Otakon. We were making Mana and Kozi's guitars for the Shiroi costumes. Well, I had just gotten my tattoo filled in a few days earlier (that Sunday) and so I spent the whole night on my knees and leaning on the sides of the calf around the tat, but avoiding the tat at all costs -- because I didn't want to rub the tattoo into the carpet. I thought it'd be fine. Well. Let me tell you what a huge mistake that was! I now have rug burn all around my tat. The tat itself doesn't itch -- it's fine, but all around it itches like fucking crazy, and it's all red and bumpy! Aarrrrggggghhh! Every time I put A&D on the tat it makes it worse. I'm just going to stop the A&D now; it's so not worth it anymore. The tat healed fine the first time and it doesn't seem to be having any problems, so I'm just going to leave well enough alone and stop the A&D. I might try going on Lubriderm now, but if that makes the rug burn itchy, that's going to stop too.

And, of course, the more you scratch, the more it itches, the more you scratch, the more it itches... it goes round and round -- it's a vicious cycle!

But isn't it funny ironic how it's not the tat that itches, but the rug burn? Go figure. o.O*
