day 17 - a song that you hear often on the radio

I do actually still listen to the radio -- whenever I'm in the car with my parents. It's usually either Q104.3 (classic rock) or 101.9RXP (mix of modern alternative/rock). So, here are two songs I hear relatively often on the radio, and quite enjoy. I do love my classic rock!

The Animals' House of the Rising Sun

Blue Oyster Cult's Don't Fear the Reaper

You may or may not laugh your ass off when I tell you this.

I've actually seen them in concert. Not even kidding.

Actually, it was The "New" Animals at Waterfest in Oshkosh, WI (my hometown's summer concert series) back in '02. It was interesting.

I saw Blue Oyster Cult at Oktoberfest in La Crosse, WI in '01. Worst concert ever. Not because of the music, but because of the people. Ugh.

The... New?... Animals? Weird! I'm always surprised/fascinated to hear what bands from more than 20 years earlier are still touring. LOL. Now that I'm getting to the age where bands that I used to like have been touring for over 20 years it's.... weird....

I'd have loved to see BOC live, though I get the feeling I might have been a bit bored by it. I prefer small/crowded/standing-only/rowdy shows. What was up with the people at the show you went to? =(

These people, from what I could remember....should not have been able to participate in normal activities in society. They were flat out idiots, and the endless alcohol only helped fuel that. And someone in a wheelchair ran over my feet.
