Listening to some Chicago radio (WTMX) show online, via a link from a Chicago Blackhawks fan's blog, listening for something about Sharpie... one of the call-in guests was Melina Kanakaredes (aka Victoria from Due South)... who apparently loves Chicago?

The way things are connected never fails to amuse me.




... also the Hawks are apparently not pranking each other much this post-season. Instead they've been playing Mario Kart? Seriously, Hjalmarsson & Tazer are the best at it?

And WTF? They're sniffing smelling salts pre-game?

Waaaaaah~~!!! THOSE BOYS ARE JUST. SO. MUCH. LOVE. I heard about Toews calling Seabs a fattie, but wasn't sure in what context -- this is just too adorable. I don't know if I can take it. <3

I may have to follow your tumblr and twitter (I'm osaraba all over) for more Hawks stories! I'm usually not this creepy-stalkery, but hockey makes people do odd things, so I hope you'll forgive me. =D If you haven't already, you'll probably be interested in following this tumblr, which is where I've come across a good deal of squeeful Hawks things. Though judging from your LJ icons, you may already know of this person? =D

I've been on LJ for years and years, but somehow never came across the huge hockey fandom until recently! SO MUCH TIME WASTED!


And hah, yes, it IS sad to be a Rangers fan these days. Which isn't exactly news, but, you know. They're my team. =D

My tumblr is mostly just a mirror of my LJ, but I may occasionally reblog something. But YAY creepers hockey fans!

I'm really jealous of you Hawks fans -- there's just SO MUCH out there for you. Rangers fans are totally cheated because MSG and the owners know they don't have to work to sell out the arena/keep or get fans/etc. Sometimes it really sucks being a Rangers fan. Though I actually feel kinda right at home with Hawks fans since they've been screwed over up til recently too (what with the non-airing of home games -- I STILL can't believe they got away with doing that)!!!

I do wish our farm team was more accessible from NYC. Hartford, CT is quite a trip away from here. Especially when one is without a car. =(


But I know what you mean -- I forgot what it's like to root for a team that actually plays consistently well and has gotten so far in the playoffs!
