Which I completely understand. Because I really really liked him back in the 80s when he was doing stuff with members of the Brat Pack.

Judy's boss told her she should watch Tuff Turf (1985), which has a young RDJ in it. And so Judy said we should try to dl it and watch it. And I'm like, "Sure! We should also dl and watch Less Than Zero (1987) because it has JAMES SPADER IN IT." Whom I love to death. And also because Less Than Zero HAS AWESOME IMPLIED SCENE OF RDJ BLOWING* SPADER IN EXCHANGE FOR COKE. YAAAAAAAYYYYYYY! I was thrilled with this at the tender young age of (probably not 6, which I was when the movie came out), but possibly in the 8-11 age range.

*Or possibly some other sex act, I can't quite remember anymore...

No, my tastes have not changed much since I was 5. Yes, I said 5.

And guess what? JAMES SPADER IS THE MAIN CHARACTER! He plays the teenage-rebel anti-hero with a leather motorcycle jacket. YAYYY! The only thing better than badass-teen!Spader is asshole-coke-dealer!Spader, asshole-voyeur!Spader from Sex, Lies & Videotape (1989), and sweet-sadist-dom!Spader from Secretary (2002), which btw, is one of THE most romantic movies I've ever fucking seen. \o/

Oddly enough, I had been tentatively planning to take a trip to Berlin this spring! The annual meeting for one of the programs I work with is in Lyon in mid-May... I'm not sure yet if I'm going, but if I go I had planned to take vacation days after the conference and go to Berlin! LOL, and this was even before I had gotten into this fandom.

Hahaha, so if I go I will definitely have to hang out with you guys!!! \o/

Oh, of course! There are a lot hostels in town, most pretty inexpensive (compared to other countries I've been to).
And if all else fails you're totally free to crash in my teeny-tiny pad, if you don't mind a wonky shower and me sleeping on an even wonkier field bed so you get my bed, LOL. Student pads... I really should move on soon.
