Just finished watching Velvet Goldmine.

Oooh, that was nice.

On the most basic level -- pretty boys, fucking. Yum.

On other levels -- this.

Also, I just love that line; I want to use it for everything now. <3

I should probably read The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Go read Howl's Moving Castle! It's fabulous. The movie stayed very true to Sophie, Calcifer, Michael and Howl, but the plot is significantly different, and makes a lot more sense. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks! I'll check it out. I've heard that the book plot makes more sense, and I kind of wonder why/how they changed it.

I think they might have changed part of it due to content that might have disturbed little kids watching the movie. The book's not gruesome by any stretch, but there's something the Witch of the Waste does that's kind of nasty and a main plot point and probably not good for a kid's movie. Even with the changes I have to say I liked both the movie and the book equally.
