Waiting in the Vienna airport...

So I am in the Vienna airport right now, waiting to board my flight. They have free wireless here, which is awesome. Especially considering I was barely online ALL WEEK! I was talking with V about it when T asked back when we arrived in Vienna, and we decided that it's not so much that we're online for long periods of time, it's just that we're so used to having immediate access. And I know that that's very accurate in my case -- I'm not online all the time, but I do go online for a few minutes at a time whenever I feel like it.

In any case, I'm really glad to be going home!

And have been told that, apparently, I'm going to Tekkoshocon next weekend. In Pittsburgh. Sigh. I kind of wanted to go, and kind of didn't. I'll be glad to go and see people, but it's going to be a tiring weekend. Drive down Friday night after work -- it's a 6-7 hr drive, btw -- work at Anna's booth on Saturday, then drive back midday Sunday.

Other con news -- apparently NYAF dates have been changed to the last weekend in September. Which is the same weekend as Yaoicon. Which means I'm not sure what I'm going to do just yet. I may still go to Ycon, but I'm not 100% sure yet. ;_;

How was NYAF last year? Does it compare well to Otakon? I'm skipping Yaoicon in 2008, but I might consider going to NYAF if I can get Jay or DC to go with me.

Sorry for the late reply. Last year NYAF was okay. It's mostly an industry con with a big draw being the Cosplay Summit. I worked at my friend's photo booth the WHOLE time, so I didn't get to see much. From what I've heard, though, there wasn't all that much to miss. This year may be different, however. Last year was NYAF's first year and it brought in around 10,000 attendees. This year will probably be bigger, and hopefully will have more programming. You might consider going for a day. If you do, I'd love to maybe have lunch with you guys because I may not get a chance to see you otherwise!

As for Ycon -- why are you skipping it this year? I really don't want to skip it, but I think I may end up doing that. =(

I'd love to go for at least a day. It's so close by, relatively speaking.

Ycon is at a different time this year, and it's not a good time for DC and I to both take off almost a week of work. It's also turning into a big expense. I'd like to save some of that money to remodel my kitchen this year. I think I might switch to going every other year.

If we do go to the NY con, I'll definitely let you know! It would be great to see you. Are you going to Otakon this year? We'll be there. ^_^

Yes, I'll definitely be at Otakon, though it's always harder to coordinate get-togethers for me at Otakon because I cosplay all day. And it's a MUCH bigger con, and harder to bump into people by accident -- not to mention getting in touch with you people who like to ignore your cell phones! =P

Yeah, people like that are SO annoying. ^_^ You should always call DC. She's much better at answering. I'm sure we'll be sitting by Starbucks at some point. Besides, we seem to have better luck finding you in crowds than anyone else!
