The "hard alternative" station, Squizz, has been playing really good stuff this morning -- more like "hard rock/light-ish metal" than "hard alternative", but I won't argue with them.

Did you know that Killswitch Engage made a cover of Holy Diver?! It's hard not to "hear" the original when listening to the cover, but I like both the cover and the original, so it's good.

I just looked up the video on youtube and it's great-- the video is a kind of parody/remake of the original video. It's funny in that it doesn't take itself seriously whereas the original video is funny because it did. LOLOLOL~

Thanks for the links! I was a huge Dio fan during my 20s and 30s. He's the only performer I've seen from the front row, and damn, was he amazing. I can't believe that he still sounds great, and he's 67 now.

That was a really cool cover, too. I like the changes they made. I can see why Dio supports the cover.

No problem! I'm really quite glad you enjoyed the cover. I also really liked the changes they made. =D It's hard to imagine Dio live, I don't think I've seen any clips of his live shows, but it's great that it was a great performance. A live show can really make or break or just do a complete 180 on your opinion of a band.

In 2003, I hadn't listened to all that much of Mudvayne except the one or two songs I'd heard on the radio, but then I saw them live when they opened for the Summer Sanitarium tour and they SERIOUSLY ROCKED! Now they're one of my favorite bands. <3
