Let's talk about redundancy and repetition! <3

This had me giggling at my desk for quite a while.

I went to see I Am Legend on Friday with Judy, Liz, and Juliet. Earlier showings were sold out, so we got tickets for the 11pm showing in Times Square. Which means that after the movie was over at 1am, we stood inside the theater discussing it for a good 50 minutes and I didn't get home til around 3:30am (continuing my recent streak of not going to sleep until 3-4am). Though it was fine because I bumped into Ron (who I met back when I was working at GCS and just the day before found and friended on facebook -- talk about weird coincidences!) at the theater, as well as finished up my NA gift-shopping.

I have a lot to say about this movie and a lot of it is incoherent frothing. BIG SPOILERS )

Despite the badly written second half of the movie, I really enjoyed the first half. I was scared at the appropriate jump-in-your-seat parts. I thought the creepy parts were the coolest! I thought that Will Smith's acting was awesome! The portrayal of a man who's been alone in the city for 3 years was subtle at times and blatant at others. Really well done.

It's just too bad the ending totally ruined all that.

Saturday was Anna's cookie exchange party, which was much fun. Everyone baked such delicious cookies! I took a small sampling of each cookie home and counted myself lucky. There was lots of joking and hentai talk (and translation thereof) being bandied about, which isn't too unusual for this group. ^_~ I think my favorite moment was when Chris came back from the bathroom holding his vest and everyone asked if he was leaving now~. ^^;

Judy and I intended to go to a club later that night, but the whole no-sleep thing caught up with me and after dinner in the village and killing some time at a bar, I was not up to dancing. I was not up to doing anything but being horizontal and unconscious. Got home, once again, at 2am, and did not get to sleep til around 3am.

Sunday. Slept til 2pm! Judy convinced me to get up and meet her in the city for shopping, which probably wasn't as productive as it could have been for her. Had dinner and went home "early". And by early I mean just before 10pm.

Busy weekend was busy.
