Buckle your seatbelts!

I can't believe I forgot to post that koyappi had her first driving lesson on Wednesday! ほうんとうにごめんなさいね！ I meant to post about it yesterday, but that stupid bank lady totally threw me off. Angelica finally made an appointment with them (after me bugging her for over a year) to take lessons. Her second lesson was yesterday afternoon, and her third is on Monday. The driving school was one that I went to right before taking the road test; the instructor is one of the best I've seen -- he's relaxed, which relaxes a non-experienced driver; he's funny, calm, patient. I highly recommend him to anyone who'd need driving lessons in the Queens area. (Which means Maryann and Liz!) Their times will come soon. I'll probably bug Maryann first, once she's gotten settled in. Especially once Angelica or I get our own cars. Then it'll be required, for Liz too.

But getting back to Angelica ~ maybe after those lessons, her mom might even try and teach her (I'm not counting on it somehow, but we'll see). Angelica told me to "talk" to her mom about it -- I don't know why she'd listen to me, though. Actually, the only way I think Lisa would let me help Angelica practice with her car is if maybe Lisa took her for practice, to see that Angelica's pretty in control of the car, and then maybe I'd be able to go with her to practice instead.

I'm kind of excited at the prospect of not being the designated driver anymore. Heehee. Except that whenever I go out somewhere I'd be drinking, Angelica's never interested in coming with me anyway. So, I don't know how effective this will be, in the end. Maybe I'll get drunk enough to not mind calling her really, really late and pestering her to come and pick me up from the train or something, heh heh. And she'll have to 'cause she's my best friend and that's what best friends do, right? ^_~
