I sent back my Creative Zen Micro (5gb/black) to Creative Labs a couple of weeks ago because the headphone jack wasn't functioning properly. I'd gotten it off of ebay, so I wasn't sure I'd be able to get an actual receipt for it, but luckily the seller I bought it from really did buy it -- from Wal-Mart, unfortunately, but still, at least it didn't "fall off the truck." So they sent me the receipt and I was then able to ship the Zen Micro to Creative Labs, hoping that it was still considered under full warranty so I wouldn't have to pay for parts and/or labor.

Well, someone called from Creative Labs yesterday to confirm my address, so I figured they'd be sending it back soon. I checked the website this morning and it had been updated over night -- they tested it and found that the headphone jack wasn't working (duh) and they replaced my Zen Micro with a whole new one. Yay! (I wonder if this one comes with another warranty...?)

But I'll just be happy to get it back -- I've been using my old CD player, but it's just not the same. Although I'm going to have to re-upload all the music I had on there to the new one. At least I'd only had it for 2.5 months; not enough time to put on more than 450 songs. ^_~;

On my floor, that has a sign, "Don't open unless there is a real fire!"

And when I walked by just now, even though I've seen it many times before...

Duo flinched and ducked his head, and said, "Okay-- okay! Jeeeez."

OMG!

I just came across an article saying that Paradise Kiss is going to be made into an anime series! Fuji TV is producing it; they also produced Hachimitsu to Clover (Honey and Clover).

OMG, I want to see it right now. I hope the art is to die for.

and I'm really sorry to spam everyone's flists.

But Joao just installed a printer driver onto my laptop, so now I'm on the printing network and can print things again. But even better -- he installed access to the shared drive as well! I'd asked him about it last week and he told me that it was policy not to give out access to temporary staff. But then today he asked me if I was going to use the computer that he'd set up for me in an office down the hall (that's really big, but that I'd be sharing with someone who's at a much higher level than me ~ ugh). I said no, except what if I needed to have shared drive access (which I most likely will)? Then he said that, well, it's not really allowed, but... as long as I don't try to hack into the system under his login, it'd be okay.

Hahaha! I have triumphed!

Now I don't have to go sit in the office! I can stay in the quiet little area between two big offices, where I am now (I'll take pictures on Monday and post them).

I'm so~ very happy relieved happy and relieved about this.
