Those infamous words.
Mar. 18th, 2004 02:48 pmI just heard from the Buck-Tick ML that I'm on that while B-T takes a break for 2004 (they toured almost nonstop in the past few years), Sakurai Atsushi, my love the band's vocalist, will be going solo. According to this Japanese fan site, Acchan's solo site is set to launch on March 25th, his first solo single will be released May 26th and his first solo album will be released June 23rd.
I'm not in a panic as of yet, however if it turns out that B-T is actually breaking up and not just "taking a break" (recall Malice Mizer's "hiatus," if you will), I don't know what I'll do. And OMG, if Gackt is any example of what happens when a good band's vocalist goes solo, I fear for Atsushi, I really do.
No matter how interested I am in hearing Atsushi "go solo," I'm more interested in having B-T stay together! I'm scared that I won't like Atsushi solo stuff 'cause it would just break my heart if I couldn't remain a fan of his (I tend not to be a person/band fangirl, but a music fangirl, which then extends to the creators of said music).
