That's what happened to me sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. I went home after playing the XBox at Angelica's house (on her new 36"-screen TV which was only a few feet away from the couch... I still don't get it, but whatever). And my new CD player was there, waiting for me. So I spent an hour reading the manual and fiddling around with it.

In any case, Saturday morning at just about 10:30, I woke up and turned over, pushed my hair back or something and happen to touch my right ear where my 3rd earring was supposed to be, and it wasn't there! But guess what? The back was still sticking out of my ear. Therefore... I deduced that... the earring had sunk into my ear lobe?! What the fuck? I got up, went into my bathroom and looked in the mirror, yep, it had sunken in alright. So, I tried pushing it back through the front of my ear lobe, but it wasn't really moving. I tried pulling it out the back, but it also wouldn't move that way. So I went upstairs to ask my parents for help.

My mom panicked a bit ('cause you know she's not too hot on my earrings to begin with). She tried to pull it out the back, but it wasn't budging! So we asked my father. He took a few minutes to think while I went up to the 2nd floor to take a look in that bathroom mirror (the light's brighter in there). And I tried to push it back through again, but it didn't really work. When I went downstairs, I sat down in front of my father and I decided (with much yelling and interrupting going on, of course) that I'd rather push it through the front than out the back 'cause (1) it'd probably hurt and tear less, and (2) I still wanted an earring in my ear 'cause it's a new hole and I don't want it to close up.

So, he started pushing it through the front, and surprisingly enough, it only hurt as if someone was pinching you kinda hard, but not enough to jerk away or anything like that. It was cool. LOL.

So then I went upstairs and switched around a few of my earrings. My 2nd hole studs (the stars, remember?) were still in 'cause I hadn't gotten around to changing them yet, and they're slightly larger than the stud that got lost in my ear, so I put the left star stud in my right 3rd hole, and the earring that was in my right 3rd hole (a small circle cubic zirconium) I put in my left 2nd hole. So now I have my regular small hoops in my 1st holes, and then in my left ear I have 2 small circle-cubic zirconium studs, and in my right ear I have 2 star studs. Kawaii, ne?

But I asked, or rather, Angelica's mom offered to buy me some hoops with a ball on the end, and I said "Yes, please." So as soon as I get those I'm going to put them in my 2nd holes and then I'll move the star stud that's in my right ear, 2nd hole over to my left ear, 3rd hole. Then I won't have to worry about any more earrings getting lost inside my ear lobes anymore.

::sigh::

I can't have been the only one that happened to, though.... I wonder what they did?
