Pics of my house-under-construction.

I wanted to find a "before" picture of the front of the house, but it's on the other computer and I'm way too tired to get up and go look for it right now. So is Liz. ^^ Liz found it later! But I think I'm going to wait to post it until it's all finished and then I'll take another pic from the same angle and have a "before" and "after" post. ^^

So here are a few pics (resized at 50%; click on pic for full view) of the construction that's being done on the front of my house.

Monday:


Ripped-up walkway, sidewalk, driveway.




New steps put in, 4th step added at bottom so that the walkway will be level with the street.

Closer view of mixed-color interlocking pavel stones (50% peach, 25% hampton and 25% light grey brick).




Half-tiled porch and ripped-up driveway.




I have to gloat a little, because the walkway color mix was a collaberation between Liz, Maryann and me. (Of course, approved by my parents.) And the porch tile was also my first choice. (I'm pretty darn good with color, if I do say so myself.) More pics to come later! And at the end I'll have that "before and after" post. =D

I love the landing! I want a patio in my back yard so badly, and it's because I keep seeing pretty stone like that. It's all going to look so good when it's finished. It looks like they're doing a great job with it.

Yay, thank you. It does look good -- I'm really looking forward to see it finished! Especially when the driveway and garage-turned-room are done! I'm really amazed that this is happening -- it wasn't a last-minute decision, but it's happening sooner and faster than I expected!

We also have a patio out back (of course, our backyard is a fraction of the size of yours -- this is NYC), but the previous owners had put it in. ^^
