So much for fabric shopping.
Jul. 11th, 2005 12:23 pmWoke up a little before noon on Saturday, and that seemed portentious of the rest of the day. I basically vegged out in front of the TV all day with Angelica. Haha. I saw Grind, which was cute and entertaining, but makes me pine for old 80s movies which are along the same lines, but better.
I meant to go home around 5 or 6pm, but I just didn't feel like going.
louiex left at around 5pm, Will left shortly thereafter. I left at 1:15am. Bad me.
So many things I was supposed to do, but didn't. Fabric shopping, for one. An important one, in fact ~ I have a feeeling costumes this year are going to be even more last-minute than even last year. Aaaaargh! Actually, the months of July and August are going to be really weirdly hectic this year. I'm working 6 days/week until the end of July, of course. Angelica's and Liz's brithdays are at the end of the month, also, and it's already mid-July. Maryann's father starts work in Albequerque on August 27th, so they have to be moved into the house there at least a few days before that. Which means, since they're driving cross-country, that they'll have to leave 3 or 4 days before that. Which means. She might not be going to Otakon this year. It really sucks that it's working out this way.
I ask myself every year, why do I leave the costumes until the month before the con? And then I remember, oh yeah. We don't really decide what we're cosplaying until around January, usually. Then, I have no money to buy fabric. And no time to make stuff until Liz is out of school and can help me by doing the cutting and other prep work. (See it's not only that I'm a lazy bum.)
