Too Duo-centric? 私?

I've been fooling around with that new layout that Sharon has, Flexible Squares, created by
cyrnelle. It's really beautiful, and it's really sweet how she keeps saying that she doesn't know why so many people really like it. ^^;
Anyway, I've been fiddling with the colors when I can grab a spare minute or two (or thirty) at work and home, so I haven't wanted to actually apply it to my journal 'cause if it's not the way I want it to be, I don't want to look at it. Haha. So I'm using an LJ account I created for the purpose of putting random writings -- if/when I have some time to get back into writing, which I really do want to do --
sarabakari. Which means balance, btw, and not that I am baka or anything like that.
The color theme is yes, the same, overall, as the one I have now. But I couldn't help myself; it matches my default icon ("shinigami" Duo), and I'd go crazy if it were in lighter colors. And for some reason I can't stand blue -- even though it's my favorite color -- in my own LJ layout (although I've always liked how you've used it in yours, Sharon). But once I'm done with this layout, I think I'm going to do something a little more interesting, maybe with a background image or something like that, for my writing LJ.
Anyway, please tell me how you like it. There is at least one other thing I want to adjust before it's finished -- I really want to be able to make the date text size large with a smaller text size for the subject (like how Cyrnelle has it), and I haven't quite attempted to figure it out yet. And Sharon, I see that you were able to fix your links to the way you wanted them... how'd you do it? ^^; (If you don't mind my asking...)

Date: 2005-06-02 09:14 pm (UTC)I like your colors. I wish I had better eyes, and could use darker colors, but I have to stick to the light ones. I love the purple and black together. That looks really good.
The blue in mine is almost a slate gray. I think that's why I like it.
You can find the instructions for adding more link boxes here. If you have trouble adding more, let me know and I can email you the actual code I'm using. It wasn't too hard to do. I think I'm getting the hang of modifying the code.
I think you have to go into Edit customizations and choose Fonts to change the size and font for the time/date stamp. The only thing to be careful of there is that it will change your formatting back. I always keep the S2 Compiler Output page open when I'm changing things, so that I can go back and restore my formatting if I mess up.
Good luck!

Date: 2005-06-03 02:37 am (UTC)Thanks for the link and the instructions. I'm going to try them out when I get a bit of free time. (::sigh:: This is why I'm testing it out on a separate LJ first, LOL.) And I'll be back to ask you if I get stuck. ^^ I usually pick up on codes pretty well/quickly, but I've been overly tired this week, so I don't know how well my brain is working. @_@;
