osaraba | Death and cake...

Waaaah! Remember that I said that people would be coming over for a birthday get-together tonight? Well, it was Angelica, Maryann, Louie, Will, and Liz's friend Juliet. Raquel and Nikki couldn't come. =( Maryann and Angelica went to Queens ahead (around 3pm) of me, Juliet, Louie, and Will (who met around 5:30pm). When we were on the bus going home I called Maryann to let them know that we were on the bus if they wanted to meet us on the way over, but they said they'd probably be on the next bus. Then I called Liz (who was at home; no school for her today) to let her know we'd be arriving soon.

When we got to the stop near my house I called to ask Liz to let us in. When we got to the door Liz opened it... and was wearing Maryann's new track jacket, which confused me. I kept asking her, trying to figure out how she got it. After a question or two, Liz just said to "get inside!" I walked further into the house and I saw a strawberry shortcake birthday cake with 24 flaming candles, Strawberry Shortcake(TM)-themed paper plates, cups, plastic utensils (with strawberries on top), and a grim-reaper birthday balloon!

It took me completely by surprise! I was expecting a birthday party tonight, but not something as official and special as this! It was sooooo adorable because none of us has ever done that sort of thing before, so it was a real surprise!

Juliet and Will gave me cards, which was also unexpected and very sweet of them! (I was really just using my birthday as an excuse to have a get-together, I wasn't really expecting any gifts or anything!) Angelica gave me an OMG!beautiful black t-shirt that has OMG!Duo! painted! on the front in silver paint! by OMG!

ponderosa121! Waaaa! I sooooo love her artwork! And on the back there's a beautifully done! OMG!2x1! It's the bestest gift EVER! It's so fucking good that I don't want to wear it! Ever! (I do want to wear it, I just don't want to have to wash it and have the black get all faded and stuff. I should just frame it. T_T;)

We watched Sorority Boys, which was stupid and funny, but it was just really hysterical because it was Lex. I mean. It was... Lex. ^_~; It was just so wrong seeing Lex doing all those things. We saw a couple of season 2 Smallville bloopers (which were also hysterical -- Michael Rosenbaum is certainly a character), then played Dirty Minds for a while after that, not too long 'cause people had to get home, but enough so that everyone got a taste and will probably want to play more. We didn't get to see Rave Macbeth, but Liz and I will see it another time since the DVD belongs to Louie. Also, I would like to buy the License to Drive DVD at one point.

Anyway, drove Juliet to her home on the Upper East Side, then Louie to her home in the Bronx. Maryann came in the car with us, and Will, Angelica and Liz stayed home. Will took the bus home before I could get back from the (heavily-constructed-upon) Whitestone Bridge, but Angelica stayed til around 2:30am! (She's getting a ride from her mom to her grandmother's in the morning, so she was able to stay later -- for which I'm happy.)

Will add photos later. Angelica's computer is sending me some now, but it's going slow or having some sort of nervous breakdown or something. ^_~;
