I'm not really an RPG fan.

But I have gotten completely hooked on Final Fantasy X. I admit, some of it is because of the quality of the graphics. And I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the charas actually have voices. But a lot of it has to do with the characters. I really like them. Well, I really like most of them. Tidus and Yuna are cool. (Wakka is beyond irritating.) But I am completely in love with Lulu and Kimahri. ::sigh::

And jeez, it's so much more entertaining than FFVIII. And, I can't help if I outrage countless fangirls by saying, I can't help but find Squall boring. Tidus isn't exactly my favorite character, nor what I would want personally in the hero of the game, but at least he's slightly entertaining.

I know there are a few of you who are RPG buffs. Any recommendations based on the things I've mentioned above?

Good lord, did you dislike FF VII?? Because Sephiroth is, like, sex candy, and I can't imagine not finding Rufus and the Turks appealing. This is definitely recc'd if you haven't played it yet. Also, Xenogears has an amazing plot. If you can get a hold of the Korean Magna Carta or War of Genesis, the character graphic art is stunning. The game is okay. Have you ever run across the art for these games?

This is all that I could name off the top of my sleep deprived head. FFVII and Xenogears are both harder to play than FFX though, but infinitely worth the effort.
