Fushigi Yuugi fics: worst ever!

Angelica was reading me some random Fushigi Yuugi fic-descriptions on fanfiction.net, telling me how FY has to be the worst fandom for Mary Sue's (that is, self-insertion fics). Apparently, most of the Mary Sue's love Tasuki the most because he was in 9.5 out of 10 fics!

But this one just absolutely took the cake! When she started reading it to me, I could not stop laughing! I admit, part of it was what she said to me after she read the whole description. But part of it was the description itself.

What happens when Tasuki gets his will through? A will of putting the others through pure and raw pain ^^ (rated for bandit language)

Then she said, "What the hell is bandit language?"

You would not believe how hard I laughed at that! It completely took me off guard! ::snicker::

Earlier I spent a few hours online while Liz and my mom went to visit my father in the hospital (I'd gone earlier in the morning). gokumew2 was online and we chatted for quite a while: I helped her with her English homework (which was really fun, btw), and she found SDK episode 26 (the final episode) for me to download! From a site, no less! No yucky IRC queues! ^_~

Although I did go on IRC for a while, mostly 'cause she was telling me that she asked some of the OPs to put her as an OP, and they did. So she got a screencap, which I'm sure will be in her LJ soon, if it isn't already. So I joined her in the channel, and she voiced me. ^_~ She's too kawaii! But alas, as usual, I got impatient with IRC and exited after a while.

At another point, I'd been searching online for some Last Will and Testament forms to download and print out so that my father could make his will before my mom goes away on her 2-week business trip to Copenhagen. I found one for $7, which we downloaded and printed out. Which I am now in the process of filling out so that we can (hopefully) have it signed, witnessed, and notarized tomorrow at the hospital. Angelica has the privilege of being one of the witnesses. ^^;

I need to ask you at some point how to go about downloading from IRC. I'd hate to go there and make a complete idiot out of myself.

Ah, Mary Sues. That's a big part of what keeps me from reading het in any fandom. As soon as I see an OFC who gets together with one of the guys, I'm SO out of there. I won't even mention a certain spoiled princess with cornflower blue eyes... *coughRelenacough*

Best wishes again to your dad. I feel so sorry for your mom too. I'm sure it can't be easy for her to have to be away at a time like this. *hugs to both of you*
