Whew. What a weird post; that's so not like me. Even if I babble a lot in my post, or ramble, I usually make some sort of sense. But that post was just horrible - I was completely distracted though. I was over Angelica's house on her computer, and Louie and I were both sleeping over… Liz was at her friend's house for a sleepover birthday party. Angelica's computer desk is at the foot of her bed, so she and Louie were sprawled out on the bed, talking and distracting - on purpose - me while I was trying to type. I had just finished watching the last episode of Fruit Basket in the other room ('cause Louie hasn't seen it at all, and Angelica's up to the second-to-last tape).

As I said before, Oooh! I really liked it! ^_~

I don't know if I've mentioned before how my favorite character is Kyou. Well, the last three episodes are almost completely about him. I was so happy when I realized that it would be because the three previous episodes (21-23) barely had him in it at all. And, as Christine said, Seki Tomokazu did a really great job. He usually does. Although he's not one of the seiyuu that a lot of fangirls go gaga over, like Koyasu with his biseinen good-looks, his voice and acting ability are one of the ones that I most admire; he really can change his voice at will, and the fact that he's so difficult to identify as certain characters just proves the mastery he has over his voice. *_* ::starry-eyed::

I so want to go out and order the rest of the FB manga, but I can't really afford it right now. ::sigh:: I wonder exactly what volume the anime got up to in the manga…

I'm not a big collector of manga, I have a few random volumes here and there. But the only series that I currently have that are complete (up to what is current, that is, because they're not yet finished as a series) are: Zetsuai 1989, BRONZE: Zetsuai since 1989, and Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou. And, I will eventually get all of Fruit Basket. ::sweatdrop:: There seems to be a bit of a pattern here. Especially when I mention that the only other manga I'd considered getting more of (I have vol 1 and 10 currently) is Hana Zachari no Kimi Tachi E, except that Angelica bought volume 2 and she might end up getting the rest…. I dunno. Although, I'm going to have to find some manga translations for that one. It's too long and too complicated to be able to just kind of "get the gist" without actually reading the translations.

But that's somewhere in the future; I'm not in a rush to get Hana Kimi, like I am to get Furuba. Oh, speaking of which… I've seen a "Fruit Basket Special" listed on fserves in "IRC and on WinMX… does anyone know what this is about? Or how long it is (as in more than one episode)? If it doesn't get transferred onto VHS within the next month I'll probably just download it and watch it on my computer… but I would prefer to watch it on VHS if possible.

A friend sent me the link to a goth/punk company, Manic Panic, where I'll probably order the white face make-up for Kozi and Mana's cosplay outfits (I'd heard of it already, but I dislike their dye products: they wash out way too quickly). I already got Kozi's wig for myself - it's a colonial beehive, basically, and I'm going to have to squish in the top of the wig so that it isn't as high. I think I'll use a needle and nylon thread to pull the top of the wig down and fasten it. And I'm going to have to "dye" some parts (a few fly-away curls here and there) of the wig red to match Kozi's hair… but it's too much trouble to really dye it just for one 2-day cosplay, so I think I may end up coloring some of the curls with red marker… LOL. Hope it comes out okay. ::crosses fingers::

Oh, and I'll have to remind myself to buy a curling iron so we can curl Liz's hair for Mana. Can't forget that! Oh jeez, and fake eyelashes for me… ::sweatdrop:: I hate last-minute shopping.

I almost can't believe that we have only 3 weeks left until Shoujocon. It seems like it should be farther away. And then, the week after is Otakon? It seems impossible! Ooooh, I can't wait! ::gets all excited thinking about it::

Aaah! I have to stop this! I'm at work!

Oh, last thing! I got my Buck-Tick CDs and book in the mail from CD Japan on Saturday! Yay! Their latest, Kyokutou I LOVE YOU is okay, not as good as their two previous albums (One Life, One Death and Sexy Stream Liner), but it's still not bad. In my opinion, though, nothing they've done has approached Six/Nine, except for Sexy Stream Liner. The other CD I got was the live CD of their One Life, One Deat CUT UP tour. I have the concert on VHS, but almost all of Atsushi's live vocals are so much better and more kirei than the album versions, so I couldn't help myself. And the book that I got was B-T's Words. It's mostly interviews reprinted from various B-Pass and Ongaku to Hito issues, but the photos that are in there, are really great! And I can always imagine that one day I will befriend someone very special who can read and write Japanese fluently and likes me enough to translate some juicy tidbits for me. ^_~ Until then, I think of it as supporting my one-and-only-favorite J-rock band!
