I should do an audio post to tell everyone how my name is pronounced. Nearly everyone I've ever met (at first) has pronounced it wrong so I know how you feel!

Yikes! I can definitely hear the difference, but I'm not sure I could enunciate it--see aforementioned horrible accent; my a's are a little too Jersey to pull that one off. Your mom's pronunciation is how I say my sister's name; my mom says it with an even more nasal a than I do.

People rarely pronounce my given name correctly, so when I hear it said right by a stranger, it kinda freaks me out.
