THIS SONG. Absolutely NEVER FAILS to make me laugh. It's a great song, don't get me wrong. (You know, for some definitions of the word "great".) But, the LYRICS. And then-- THE VIDEO. HOW ARE YOU EVEN REAL, DIO? How did you get along in your life before you were able to make this video of yourself stalking around epically/heroically/menacingly with a sword and living out your dreams of starring in films like Willow?!

Dio's Holy Diver
Fave lines: like the tiger / you can see his stripes but you know he's clean / oh, don't you see what I mean

WHAT EVEN?

List of all days.

Awww, I love that song (and video)! Dio was a great showman. I liked his philosophy that the audience deserved to see a spectacle at his live shows, since they were paying a lot of money. Dio was my first heavy metal love.

I miss him. RIP, Ronnie.

YESSSS!! HOLY DIVAH!!

The first time I heard this sing was when I was playing Guitar Hero. I had to stop playing a few seconds into the song, because I burst out laughing.

Oh, I did watch the video! It's like outtakes from "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe"!

Can I just say that I love love love that you're into metal? It brings me back to my high school days. Stuff that I listen to these days tends more towards post rock and math rock. Like Hella! http://bit.ly/kIq6NN

But I love these posts because I looooove talking about music with people. And food. Music and food. *nods*

Math rock is sort of similar to post rock. Influenced heavily by psychedelic rock and jam bands of the 70s and also metal. Mostly instrumental, usually without vocals. Often multiple guitars and/or drum sets. Guitars are usually used in place of vocals. Complicated rhythms and changing time signatures.

There's the more "pretty sounding" post rock which is like Explosions in the Sky and Mogwai. Then there's the heavier side like Hella and Don Caballero (my favorite band of all time!! LISTEN!) and Tortoise ooooh and Upsilon Acrux who are my friends from LA and are amazing!!

I know, I'm ridiculous :) MUSIC!

Also, in my headcanon, Arthur fucking loves heavy post and math rock :)
