day 01 - your favorite song

Being asked "What's your favorite song?" is a big love/hate thing with me. I love talking about music, especially songs I like! BUT. THERE ARE SO MANY. How can I possibly choose ONE? I'm not sure whether most people just assume that the "...right now" is unspoken-but-implied, but I never have automatically added those words onto the question. It took me the longest time to realize that they could be, and to not feel guilty about it. (Seriously, I know, I am a ridiculous person with baffling neuroses.)

So in light of all that, my current favorite song is Miss Cigarette by Rizzle Kicks. I absolutely cannot get enough of this song. Even when I've burnt myself out on some of the duo's other songs, I can't help but sing along with this one. Personification of an addiction isn't exactly the newest thing under the sun, but I just love Jordan's word play; his lyrics and rhymes resonate with me in a way not many other artists' do.

REALLY?! No, I haven't seen them live, but DAMN do I want to. Who do you know that's seen them live? WHO DO YOU KNOW THAT LIKES THEM ASIDE FROM ME?

They've only played in England so far, though they've just signed to a major label so I'm kind of hoping they might tour... or, if I get a chance to visit London I'd probably plan a trip around their live schedule.

Also, their music plays on Pandora? THIS MAKES ME EXTREMELY HAPPY! \o/

ETA: I searched for them on Pandora, to make a new station, but they don't seem to be in the database.... HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?

If it wasn't you then I don't know! But someone I know I think saw them. It was while back.

I have a pandora station thats been customized with crazy detail thats a mix of dubstep, grime, and hip hop that plays a great deal of wtf random things. I don't question it.
