A night of run-on sentences.

WARNING: itty bitty… BIG SPOILER!
Ooooh, Resident Evil was good! I was so surprised. Now, if only to figure out if it was so good because it was good, or good because it was such a relief to have a competent plot in comparison to the last movie I saw, Queen of the Damned. But in any case, I thought it was good. It had good action, great special effects, the scares weren’t cheap, overall I was impressed (even if Angelica and I had the whole movie figured out within the first half-hour). It was quite funny, actually… we had been talking out the possibilities, and after a few ideas, I blurted out something about how I thought that the Red Queen was good (not good good, but at least not evil evil, like they were making her seem for killing everyone). She had actually been trying to save everyone by killing everyone inside the hive… and that it was actually the "husband" that was the guy in the beginning who let the T-virus loose; that he had actually been trying to escape from the hive via the train, but got caught there, and was discovered later. I mean, why else would he be in the train, huh? They never said at that point. Of course, none of that recovery team did have the brains to ask, did they? Well, actually, I guess that’s okay because he had memory loss at that point. Actually, that’s a good thing; it proves that the movie was consistent. So then we were all like, "Yeah, that’s it!" and we sat back to watch my guess unfold.

So.
After work I met up with Angelica, Louie, and Liz at GCS and (for some reason we were all dressed goth/bondage that night… except for Liz who looked like a teenybopper, but it was by mistake). It turned out that Angelica had talked to Yoshi earlier that day (he’s the guy who’s coming with us to Otakon this year) and he said he was also going to see Resident Evil at Times Square with his friend, so we all decided to go together. We met them at the theater at 6pm, trying to make the 6:30 show (which they already had tickets for). But it turned out that the 6:30 show was sold out. So we bought tickets for the 7:30 show and they exchanged their tickets for the 7:30 show… just before the 7:30 show sold out.
Then we had about a half-hour to kill before coming back to the theater, so we went around the block (very slowly, I might add, because my feet were sorta dying from the high-heeled clunky boots I bought at Wheels and was wearing along with my purple plaid bondage pants that night) and ate at an itty-bitty pizzeria (where I saw this kirei girl who has kirei sparkly-purple eyeshadow and a kirei lip ring on the right side of her bottom lip, and who I’d met before – that night that I got the high-heeled clunky boots from Wheels – on the Roosevelt platform in Queens when she asked me if the R was still running that late at night).
Ah, anyway, after eating pizza we walked back over to the theater and met up with Yoshi and his friend and went to take our seats (I was walking at about –5 miles an hour at this point). The four of us got seats together with Yoshi and his friend in the row below us. After the movie we walked (I limped) Lene over to her dad (waiting in the car across the street) and said goodbye. Then we walked (I straggled) over to the HMV across from the movie theater, where we proceeded to waste about an hour waiting for some stupid guy to get off one of the listening thingies so that Liz could listen to the Echobrain (Jason Newsted’s new band) CD before buying it. I walked (very carefully) down the (huge) flight of stairs to preview the Resident Evil soundtrack before buying it – I absolutely love the instrumental score of the movie (composed by Marilyn Manson, no less!), so I bought the soundtrack even though only 4 of the 20 songs are instrumental. After I walked (with lots of pain) back up the steps I found a Nickelback CD and asked Angelica to get that for me (it was only $14.99!) as my belated Xmas/New Year's gift instead of the piercing 'cause she couldn’t afford that. She did. (But don’t think that’s the end of it, oh no, she’s going to buy me two 20-gauge earrings from Chinatown next week when we get paid.)
Ooooh, I spent way more than I should have this week. Rather, this Friday night.
Then it was over to the train station (they walked, I took itty bitty baby steps) to take the E to West 4th where I proceeded to get my last piercing for the next few months. That’s right, people, I refuse to get any more piercings until the one in the middle of my ear is COMPLETELY HEALED!!! So now I have 3 in my cartilage, one in the middle of the outer curve of the ear, and 6 in total in both ear lobes. 10. Sounds like a good number to level off at, ne? Now, I just have to save some money and have the kanji (shinigami no koibito) done up in script – or close to it, anyway – and have them tattooed onto my left ankle. ::hangs head:: OMG, what am I doing? It’ll be the start of yet another addiction! But on the bright side, I suppose I’ll be perfect for my Farfie costume for Otakon 2003… and since the guy who works across the hall from us at GCS (Aaron, who looks so much like Jason Newsted, formerly of Metallica, now of Echobrain) has 9 tattoos and manages to cover them all up completely when he dresses for work, this gives me (misdirected?) hope for myself.
Oh speaking of the new piercing, you’ll be pleased to hear that although it isn’t as easy to turn as the last piercing before this one (at the very top of the cartilage), it doesn’t really hurt, and it is getting easier to turn every time I do it. I have high hopes for this one. So far, the only one that’s been giving me trouble is that damn middle piercing. Stupid fucker.
Anyway, while we were at Crazy Fantasy, Angelica got her ball replaced on her lower cartilage piercing… she asked Liz to pick one of the balls for her and Liz picked the yellow die (as in half of a pair of dice). Oh, it’s too adorable! Certainly, it’ll be easier for her to meet up with people she doesn’t know… No more will it be:
But instead:
After the piercing and Angelica getting her ball replaced (yep, I even said that at the piercing place and had a very interesting conversation with one of the employees as a result), we walked (I was back to limping slowly after the brief rest in the piercing chair) back over to the E to take it back into Queens. After about a 40-45 minute ride on the train I was back limping up the steps to catch the bus back home.
At least I enjoyed the thrill of being taller than Angelica for the whole night. ::sigh:: And I’m quite proud of myself for lasting through the self-torture.
Even though my ankles hurt today.
