The weather was pretty much perfect.
Apr. 30th, 2007 01:26 amHad SOOOOO much fun at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Sakura Matsuri this Saturday. I was indoors most of the time, helping out AnimeNEXT's Manga Library, but I did get to take a turn through some of the garden and I was able to visit the events tent during the taiko drumming performance! <3 I absolutely LOVE taiko!! =D
Unfortunately, not all the trees were in full bloom, but they were still beautiful.
There were SOOO many people! Gregg said they get 34,000 people visiting during the Sakura Matsuri. I should have taken pictures when I was helping set up the library (when the place was still relatively deserted), before they opened the doors to the public, but I didn't really think of it. I shall remember to do so next year. <3
It was too bad that I wasn't able to go on Sunday when lots of other people were going, but I'm so happy to have gone at all.
I took 300 photos, but here are just a few.
Did I mention how much I love my camera?
