While I don't usually enjoy classical music much...

Just watched the first 10 episodes of Nodame Cantabile. What a great anime! =D I love Chiaki; I suppose he's the typical highly-talented, yet antisocial/doesn't really know how to get along with others until he meets... Nodame! Nodame is also pretty typical; talented, and gifted in an unconventional way, as well as appearing to be unmotivated. The fact that the characters are somewhat stereotypical doesn't really detract from the fact that they're still adorable, and the seiyuu make the anime quite entertaining! (Seki Tomokazu is so cute as Chiaki -- he gets to use his hot-headed voice as well as his cool-and-suave voice.) I am also really enjoying the fact that these people aren't teenagers. It's a very pleasant change from the usual romance.

I wonder if I'd like the manga as much?

OMG -- just discovered that this was made into a j-drama! Does anyone know if the live action episodes have been subbed? The actors look so cute!

Nodame Cantabile is such a fun anime. The characters are super cute. It reminds me a bit of Honey and Clover, with music instead of art.

I think the j-drama hasn't been subbed yet. You can always try looking at d-addicts. That's where I get Jigoku Shoujo live action.
