Blades of Glory is one of the best, funniest movies I've seen... EVAR!

I do not go to see this type of movie (stupid comedies) in theaters. I rarely watch them on cable or TV when they're released. They're just not my type of thing (comedies, guh.). But when I saw the ads in the subway for this movie, I immediately knew I had to see it. (That's some good subliminal messaging, let me tell you!) I guess it's the ice skating part of it that made me think it would be funnier than usual. And OMFG, was I right!

I still had a vague fear that it would turn out to be more stupid than funny, but it was just excellent all the way through.

I don't think there was a period of more than 30-45 seconds where I wasn't laughing!

It was really unfortunate that the Chris-group and the Angelica-group both cancelled going to see it today. It was me, Liz, Will, Maryann and Indira that ended up going. We were all just laughing hysterically!!! There's a part where I actually screamed out loud. LOL. I just couldn't hold it in; I hadn't even realized that I'd done it until it was too late. Maryann and I both wanted to see it again pretty much immediately after it was over. If people go to see it next Friday, I think I shall go again. <3333 And this is one movie that I'm definitely going to buy when it's released on DVD (so says the girl who buys like one movie DVD every 2 or 3 years?)!

It's just soooo fucking hysterical!

And OMG, I'd love for someone to take this movie and tweak it into a (more serious) GW AU/fusion fic!

I wished I lived near you, so we could go together! I've seen BoG twice and adore it! I LOVED IT!!! I really think it's quite brilliant. I used to follow figure skating closely... went to shows and competitions and watched it faithfully on TV. This movie was so well done. OBVIOUSLY whoever wrote this *loves* skating and knows it really well. And it was a hoot to see Scott Hamilton, who looked like he was just barely containing guffaws of laughter. And... the lip gloss on Jon Heder was just too cute! There are just way too many details to discuss!
