Not worth mentioning.
Jun. 17th, 2002 09:38 amThat's what last week was, practically. Granted, it isn't over yet, but I have a feeling that's what it's going to turn out to be. Other than the weather (hot & humid), the past several days have been completely unremarkable.
I think part of the reason I hadn't updated much last week was because I was helping my mom with a presentation she had to do for work on Friday. Every night (except Wednesday), I would go to her office after work and help her from 6pm to around 11pm. We'd get home between 12am and 12:30am, depending on the traffic (subway traffic, that is). Then I wouldn't be able to get to sleep until around 2am. Then I'd get up at 6am to go to work, I'd get there at 8am, go to my mom's office, help her for an hour, then head off to my own office.
Trying to meet Angelica for lunch proved to be an exercise in futility and I ended up walking around all over the place, making myself more tired. Definitely not an ideal week.
The only good thing was that we got our GCS paychecks this past Friday. And mine was a little bit more padded than usual because of that week I worked when they weren't there. And since Angelica's was even more padded, she got to pay me most of what she owed me for the airplane tickets to San Francisco. Whew. I was running a little low there.
Oh! I've been trading like mad recently, and ended up watching more of Prince of Tennis which is really great, and episode 12 (the last of what I have up to) ends on a cliffhanger. Bastards. Started watching Tokyo Underground; not normally what I'd like, but for some reason I do like this one. I think it's the main character - Ramina's - silliness, etc. (Not surprising as his seiyuu is Seki Tomokazu.) The main villain (for now, anyway) is played by Miki Shin'ichirou, and his name is… Seki. I died when I heard that. I should be getting more Prince of Tennis soon, along with the first 2 volumes of Chobits, which I've been curious about lately. I'm really dying for more Fruit Basket, though - even though I really don't want it to end.
Ah well, I think that's it for now. It's amazing; I have a distinct lack of anything interesting to say. o.O*
