I'm probably going to get on everyone's nerves with how much *squeeing* I plan on doing over Saiunkoku Monogatari. I watched episodes 16 through 19 tonight and they were just soooo awesome. I really love Shuurei. She's so great -- a strong woman, who knows what she wants and goes after it with a fierce determination. She is supported by the guys in the show, of course, but they don't do things for her; they don't make it easier on her; they work with her, and they trust her to come through for them as well. Besides Shuurei, one of the things I like most is again the fact that the guys don't do things for her; they work with her, they're straightforward with her to a certain extent. There are secrets they keep, but they all keep different secrets from different people anyway.

I want to get to the end, but I don't want it to be over. I want to see more of Shuuei and Kouyuu... and Ryuuki is soooo sweet. And how he acts with Seiran is just too cute for words. *squishes them* And Kijin and Reishin... they're just so amazing and silly. ♥

Also, I LOVE the OP song. I have to resist the urge to put it -- just the one song -- on repeat at work, like I have it right now...

I suppose I've just fallen in love with this show, and there's really no two ways about it.

i started watching because hikaru midorikawa *swoons again* had a major voice role in it and well, i'm just his bitch *coughs* ... anyway, i ADORE the show so so much that there aren't even words!

sometimes it can be a little frustrating because the story is unraveling so slowly, but the amounts of squee in every episode make the torture beyond worth it! i don't think there is a character i DON'T like in it and you are correct in shuurei being quite the surprise. i was expecting her to be a little whiny and annoying (like most anime females, unfortunately :\) but i was so pleasantly surprised and continue to be!

I really haven't been this into an anime in a long time (since Whistle!, I think), and it's SO worthy of being into! So I'm really enjoying it!
