Yes, it truly does. I had to stop reading for a couple of days because I was really nervous about seeing what else happens. But Maryann catching up got me thinking about all that was going on and my desire to know what happens reawakened. ^^ So I'm reading again, but damnit for having to go to work and interrupt the flow. (Still on vol. 8, but I'm getting there...)
Honestly? Of its genre, its one of the best written things I've read in a long time. From beginning to end, its not just a simple shounen manga story and had me rapt with glee the whole time. I do think you'll like it as you keep going :D
I don't have the actual books, but I can make you a CD with the scanlations on it. ^^
Oh, btw I'm totally up for Wed or Thurs for happy hour get-together. I'd prefer Thurs, but Wed is good too. Actually, Chris mentioned a signing that I want to go to on Wed during his Nerd Avengers thing, so... =D
