osaraba: (twice the fun)

I just played DDR (Supernova Mix?) for a while tonight, over at D&B's in Times Square. Their arcade is kind of nice, I like the atmosphere, but it's definitely a rip-off in price. It really is too bad that it's all overpriced because I do like it there. Nice arcade, sports bar, etc. (I want to go back, possibly, during Hockey season.)

I suppose I preferred it because there weren't a whole lot of people waiting to use the DDR machine, so there was less pressure to do your songs and then make room for someone else. So Yoshi, if you have another recommendation for a DDR machine in a slightly less intense atmosphere than Chinatown Fair, let me know. (Also, cheaper than almost $2 for 3 songs would be good.)

But yes, playing DDR was really fun! I forgot just how much I enjoy it~ I haven't played game after game in soooo long. I really would like to start going to play it again. (In the arcade, though, 'cause I don't find it as fun on home pads.) It took me a couple of tries to remember most of Afronova and Dynamite Rave, but I nailed Brilliant2U and LaSenorita. =D I also did try some of the newer songs, but I can't remember them 'cause Maryann and Will picked them and I don't remember.

Hey Angelica, can I borrow the DDR 5th mix again? Pleeeeeeeease?

DDR without me wow. Well as for good places I was told that if you buy many many tokens or whatever at D&B's its cheaper. Chinatown is on crowded on Fridays any other day its actually really empty and everyone can easily get multiple turns so maybe you should try a weekend or Thursday or something like that. Even in the summer when all the kids are free only Friday is the crazy day. I don't know of other places at the moment other than in Tokyo but if I learn of others I will let you know.

I know it's a buck for 4 songs down in Carrie-land. Supernova is love.
