Clueless about LOVELESS (general impressions, no plot spoilers)

On to anime news.

I watched 10 episodes of Loveless yesterday. And finished the last 2 episodes this morning.

It's an interesting anime. I don't think I can say that I liked or loved it, but I was definitely interested and I really would like to know more of the story. By the time I got around to the last several episodes, I realized that (unless I was wrong about there only being 12 episodes in the series), it wasn't going to really "finish". Then it annoyed me how much time they wasted in the beginning with those fights... but I do realize that they were necessary, and that the scenes with Ritsuka and the therapist really do set the slow-and-confusing mood of the anime, which I enjoyed.

It sucks that there isn't more of it, just so there can be a bit of closure! I don't think that's too much to ask. =Þ

I'm not generally into yaoi for yaoi's sake, so I'm not all excited over the fact that it's a "yaoi" anime. I don't dislike the yaoi hints between Ritsuka and Soubi, but I'm not completely into it either. And it isn't the shota part either because I'm a perv; I like shota. A lot, sometimes. =D But I'm not really convinced yet; I really wish there was more of the story for me to sink my teeth into.

Yeah, so those are my thoughts on Loveless.

On a side note, I ♥ Konishi Katsuyuki (seiyuu for Kyo in Samurai Deeper Kyo, and Soubi in Loveless). And discovered that he was also the voice for Tooya in Ayashi no Ceres, for which I have now found my motivation to watch! Angelica, can I borrow the series from you now, please? *grin*

Ironically, the fights are the part I liked best!

I liked the fights. I just got kind of annoyed when I realized that there would be no closure by the end of the anime and wished that, I guess, if they could have shortened the fights a little to make room for story... although, ideally, the fights would have been left alone, just more episodes made for story. ^^;

Does merith know where there are Loveless manga scanlations? Or just that I should talk to her about Loveless 'cause she's really into it? =)

LOVELESS is, well, LOVE! X.DDD Soubi x Ritsuka~~~ And note that I'm totally not into shota~ X.D (I have my exceptions, this being one of them.) I also wish there was more closure to the series. It's begging for a second season!

Isn't Konishi just great as Soubi? Mrawr, so hot. And yeah, I remember back when I found out he was Tooya and I had to go rewatch some eps, LoL.

PS The manga didn't really catch my interest. It's so slooooooooow and nothing really happened. .>_>

Oh noooooowwwww you want to see it?!? So long after we read the manga and since I asked you to watch it with me! Grr, I hate you.

BTW I do have a few episodes of Black Cat but they aren't that many episodes out if you want to download it. I think maybe 5 or 6 right now. I saw the first one and it was pretty good.
