I need FMA iconage...

OMFG, that was sooooooo awesome. OMG.
I was up to around episode twenty-something, and then just had a marathon of watching the rest of the episodes all day on Sunday. That was so goddamn excellent. I'm somewhat speechless about how exellent this show was. It had just the right amount of cuteness, seriousness, humor, angst... and het/slash factor. ^_~
I am totally in love with the Elric brothers and neeeeed mooooore of themmmm.
What is it with these angsty, self-sacrificing braided boys with armor-encased partners that just gets to me?
Speaking of which, thankyouverymuch
zerotwofan for rec'ing the Duo-in-FMA-verse crossover fic! It was excellent! I watched it while I was still up to episode 20-something, and luckily it didn't spoil anything of the rest of the show for me (I hadn't really thought about that before I read it). I really enjoyed Duo and Ed's comraderie, and of course, wish that the story could have continued past what was written. *sniffle*
Unfortunately, I inadvertently skipped episode 25. Erm, that episode where something important happens with Hughes. I didn't quite realize it until several episodes later, and then I was like, "huh?" 'cause there were things that didn't quite add up. I went online for an episode guide and realized what I'd done. ::facepalm:: Yeah, so I have to go back and watch that episode. I can't believe I did that.
I think I still need a little time to figure out just what I think about the homunculi. I ended up really liking Lust (thinking of
windsorblue the whole time toward the end of the series) and Greed, and feel that some of the others were not developed well enough for me to particularly like or dislike them. I might just have to watch some episodes over...
The ending quite stunned me; it is so hidoi and I loveitverymuch.

Date: 2005-11-22 07:43 am (UTC)Of all the episodes to miss, you had to miss 25. Yikes! I had that episode spoiled for me, so I don't have the same feelings about it that most FMA fans do. Still, it was a powerful episode.
I have a few FMA fics rec'd in

Date: 2005-11-22 02:04 pm (UTC)Actually, I wondered at what point Sol wrote this -- had she finished watching FMA or was she in the middle of it? Because now having seen the end of it, it seems that how she explained Duo's universe-travel (which she explained through transposition) could also have been explained or linked to the gate that they come to explain at the end of the series. And I wondered if she came up with transposition because she hadn't finished the series yet, or because she was purposely staying away from the whole gate thing.
However, I'm very glad that she did 'cause I'd have been spoiled and I *really* hate having stuff spoiled! (Damn that episode 25, it seems to be bad luck all around.)
I'm not sure how much I like Roy/Ed, but I can see where it would be a common pairing. =D I should read some Roy/Ed, though, to see how the pairing is treated in fandom. ^^ Thanks for the recs!
