More webspace!

Hahaha! I signed up for my current webhost a couple of years ago, at which time they were offering 200mb for $9.95/month. Not bad for the time. But now, other webhosts are offering 2gb for $9.95/month. And I noticed (whenever I bothered to sign into my online control panel) that I still had only 200mb. But then I checked their main page and saw that my plan was offering 2000mb ~ so why didn't I have that much?

I emailed tech support and asked this very question.

They emailed me back saying that my account "is now updated."

Now I don't have to worry too much about what I'm uploading. Whew! Such a relief! You don't know how difficult it was sometimes to restrain myself from uploading things.

So 'bout how much does your site take up? And I think you said before that you had unlimited bandwidth? What's the status on that?

Oh btw, if you don't have so much stuff on your site that it would be a hassle moving, you might want to consider switching hosts.

Surpass Hosting has a $10/month plan that gives you 7GB of webspace and 75GB bandwidth.

Or even better! This host has unlimited space and bandwidth for $7/mo, but I'm rather sure something in their TOS says no using the site for transferring tons of files.

Haha, thank you for all the info! Actually, they look very tempting. I really should switch... although I'll feel a little bad 'cause I really do like the host I have. I only have 175mb used up, so it won't be a big deal to switch. The last one you mentioned is $4/mo (10gb) if you pay for 24 months' worth. It's $7/mo for 10gb if you pay every 3 months. (It's kind of annoying how deceptive they're being...) But, it's still pretty worth it, especially the 1 year package ($5/mo 10gb) because if you get a 1 or 2-year package, they give you an extra year free! So it'd only be $60 for 2 years (which is like $2.50/mo). But I'll have to wait until I get paid before I really decide anything.

I really do like my webhost. I wish they just had some better offers, I'd stay with them. http://aplus.net
