Yep, I completely agree about Kyoukuto being softer... but following One Life, One Death it wasn't as big a surprise as it could've been. Then again, it's possible they might change again for their next album. But there are quite a few songs on Kyoukuto that I really like -- the ballads, mostly. ^^ And it certainly hasn't stopped me from preordering their concert video from CDJapan. o.O*
