OH HAI THERE, SWOOPING IN TO TELL YOU MY THOUGHTS ON ASEXUALITY FIC :D (this is callan, btw) :D but yes, I agree with all the points you've made here- the victorian-esque ust (which is my kryptonite in general), the angst, the increased intimacy, and just from a narrative pov, its by neccesity more complicated & thoughtful than your archetypical TENSION-MUTUAL DECLARATIONS-TAB A/SLOT B ficcery; there has to be conversation, negotiation, and the demarcation of boundaries, and from a character standpoint that can be really fascinating (especially with bbc!sherlock, where its just an extension of two very different characters meeting in the middle) There's lots of it in all incarnations of the holmes fandom, but particularly the beeb corner of it- http://archiveofourown.org/works/117682 <-- nice example. And have you read wordstrings' paradox series? not asexuality, but the same sort of figuring out FINE/NOT FINE, very fucked up & co dependent but awesome. http://wordstrings.livejournal.com/. I liked that arthur/eames fic, i can very much see that being the case for arthur :D SO UM YES. THE INTERNET: FULL OF KINKS YOU NEVER KNEW YOU HAD.
