Pain and photos.

The top of my ear's swollen. ::cries:: It's such a pain in the ass! It hurts, too, but I wouldn't mind the pain so much if I knew it'd be okay. It's the not knowing that makes me worried about the pain & swelling. I keep worrying that the reason it's all swollen is 'cause the ball closest to my head is too close to my head. ::wishes now that Foo-Fighters-guy had pierced it a bit more diagonally:: I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I keep going through periods of impatience & worry, and then resignation & indifference. And it's all in my mind since I don't really have anyone to say it to every time I switch back and forth. o.O*

Got the curtains for the living room finally, but they're too short. I told my mom they'd be too short, but she didn't listen to me. See what happens? Well anyway, we'll just have to wait a little longer now. No biggie. But the Living Room actually looks lived-in now. We bought an ENETRI bookcase from IKEA and put some decorations up. (It's a completely alien thing for us to have a function-less piece of furniture.) And we did a big cleaning today, so everything's all nice and shiny.

According to Merriam-Webster's online dictionary, suggests an unreliability because of perverse changeability and incapacity for steadfastness.

Completely unrelated to the above, however, is the news that Angelica asked me to keep an eye out for an inexpensive digital camera for her. So I happened across one on uBid for $70 (almost $90 with shipping). It's not an awesome model or anything, but it's pretty cool for its price. It's a Fujifilm FinePix 1300. Actually, it's quite similar to my own Sony DSC-P31 CyberShot. I haven't seen it anywhere else... I believe it's one of the UK's designs.

I believe it comes with an 8mb memory card; I wonder if she'll buy a larger-capacity memory card before we leave for Yaoi-con? And if so, I wonder how much memory she'll want?

My own additional memory card should be delivered sometime soon. I had bought the 32mb card at the store along with the camera, but when I registered online, they gave me a $20 coupon for a few certain accessories through the online store. So I returned the 32mb card to the store ($37 with tax) and ordered a 64mb card from the Sony online store, which came to $34 including shipping and tax, and with the $20 discount. I don't know if I'll ever need all 64mbs (I hardly think so), but you never know, I suppose.

The only thing I don't like is that Sony delivers via UPS, and I hate UPS. I much prefer USPS, they're so much simpler. No unnecessary signatures.... and it's so much easier to get to a post office to pick things up than to find a UPS building. They're hidden in the most obscure places, I swear.

Some bad news: Jenny, one of our prospective roomies for Yaoi-con, has not replied to any of my email requests for payment. So Angelica posted another email to the Yaoi-con ML in hopes that we'll find someone to take her place. So far, we have one person who would like a spot for Thursday night only. We're hoping that someone else will contact us for all three nights instead, 'cause that's what Jenny had said she'd be paying for.

But there's good news, too: I happened to have a chance to speak with Yvette on Wednesday night at work, so I was able to confirm that she is indeed giving us money for our trip! You can't imagine how relieved I was when she admitted to remembering the conversation! She didn't say how much she's going to be giving us, but I can't imagine her giving us less than $50 each. So at least that's $50 I won't have to worry about! Of course, I hope it's more, but you take what you can get when you're desperate!
