Define thyself.

Today was cool. Got to GCS at 11 for work, Fay was there, but she left at 12 'cause she had an appointment to see her dentist. Yvette came in around 12:30. Earlier than I expected (1:15 at the earliest), but working with Yvette is cool, especially when we're making money. It was quite busy today -- we made a little over $2000. So Yvette was very cool today. She didn't annoy me, and whenever there was a bit of a lull, I had some pricing to do, so I wasn't completely bored.

There was a bit of a rush at 1, so when that was over Yvette offered to buy me something -- which is this thing they do sometimes, when it gets busy and you work like a dog, they offer to buy you something afterwards. I asked her to get me a Tall (aka small) Tazoberry. Instead, she thought I meant large, so she got me a Venti. (Which is huge in comparison and costs about $2 more.) I felt bad, but not bad enough to refuse the treat! I'm officially obsessed with Starbucks' Tazoberry drinks. They're so not worth the $3.57 per "Tall" that they charge, but they're so delicious, I just can't find the willpower to stop myself.

Well, anyway, that sucker lasted a good hour or two.

At 3:30, I had lunch with Liz ([livejournal.com profile] metallicapixie), which was fun. Then went back to work and Louie([livejournal.com profile] rancordethroe) made an appearance around 5:15, at which time I gave her two Buck-Tick CDs to listen to. Gah, Atsushi's been plaguing me lately.

Yvette left at 7, leaving an indecisive woman who couldn't pick between a bathing suit or a dress as a gift to her boyfriend's parent's friends, or something like that. ::rolls eyes:: Baka onna. As if it was a big deal or something, but she spent over 40 minutes going back and forth, back and forth. I swear, I was ready to kick her out. By the time 7:15 rolled around I was wrapping up her gift (the dress) and getting ready to take all the stuff off the floor so the cleaning guy could come mop & wax the floor for the week. Of course, nothing goes as planned; apparently they were machine-less for some reason and asked to come in tomorrow morning, instead of cleaning tonight like usual.

No problem, I said... especially since it's this weekend that I'd switched days with Angelica and so would have to come in 1/2 hour early, just so they can clean before I open the store at 10am. What an indecent hour!

Anyway, left to go eat at Chinatown, and had a very interesting conversation with Liz about my AIM conversation with Angelica ([livejournal.com profile] koyappi) last night at about 2am. About not being able to wait to go to Otakon, but mostly about trying to make this year's Yaoi-con in San Francisco, in October. I say we can make it ($284/round trip airfare, $115/night hotel), mostly because of the very fact that October is off-peak season. Who knows if next year's Yaoi-con will be during off-peak again? Last year, I believe it was sometime in July or August (read: top of the peak season).

Angelica tried to get me off the topic by turning me on to the possibility of doing Shoujocon and/or Anime Expo East instead. But I still think we can do all four! I think I just might have to resign myself to going to Yaoi-con alone if I have to.
