Unworthy.

I don't understand how anyone can profess to not know something when they haven't made the slightest effort to find out!

Book of the moment:

The Better Part of Valor by Tanya Huff (SF)

Very good; good characterization, although not too much real action, especially in comparison with the previous one (Valor's Choice), although the awesome/quirky sense of humor still comes through.

It's all because I started watching the X TV series. It really hooks you! I enjoyed the X/1999 movie, but since it was so short (in comparison to the bigger story) and confusingly uninformative (which is actually typical of most of the anime that are chosen to be mainstream commercial crossovers from Japan into American society), it lacked something to truly get me pulled into the fandom, start reading the manga, looking at sites, etc.

The TV series, however, managed to do what the movie couldn't. It is amazing. The seiyuu are great; most unknown, or have few pro roles (at least, that have been listed by Hitoshi Doi), but they suit their characters well.

But, am I the only one who finds the whole Dragon of Heaven/Dragon of Earth thing confusing? I could have sworn that in the movie, the Dragons of Heaven were the badguys (aka Fuuma's party) and the Dragons of Earth were the goodguys (aka Kamui's party). But now it seems that it's actually the opposite?

In any case, I've seen up to episode 9 for the moment, and I'm totally in dire need of more. I'm in love with Kamui's coldness right now, but from what Louie's told me, Fuuma turns even more cold/evil/seme than Kamui, so I can hardly wait for that to come about! I'm a sucker for cold, evil semes. Sorata-kun is just too kawaii for his own good, I swear. And Seishirou and Yuuto are kakkoii. I've been TRYING to get my hands on subbed copies of Tokyo Babylon in order to hear atashi no Koyasu-sama as Subaru, but so far, no luck.

So... I found this quiz and couldn't resist.

You're Kishuu Arashi!
Always calm and composed, you aren't prone to dramatic outbursts or displays of emotion. You save your emotion for times when it is really necessary. Some might call you cold or distant, but on the upside, you're very emotionally strong and can take care of yourself. And when the right person comes along, they might just break your shell.
Which Dragon of Heaven are you?
