The burning sensation has stopped...
Dec. 1st, 2001 01:59 pm...from where I got my ears pierced, silly. What were you thinking?!
Anyway, Angelica and I went to Chinatown for the first time last night in about two weeks. That's a really long time, considering we usually go every Friday night after I get off from work (7:30 pm) and usually several other times during the week. It was fun.
First, we went to the arcade and played three games of DDR. We sucked, man. That's what happens when you go for two or three weeks without playing, you start slipping! I cracked myself up, though, when during... I think it was Dynamite Rave... I kinda spaced-out. I was following the steps and then all of a sudden I was doing something completely different. I didn't miss out on too many steps because of it, but it made me crack up in the middle of the freaking song! LOL.
After that, we went to eat at a Malaysian restaurant on Mott Street (we usually go to Sweet & Tart), called Singapore Cafe. It had all the good Malaysian food that I love-- Hainan chicken, Satay with peanut sauce, string bean Belacan (although I didn't get to have the belacan today 'cause it's too expensive for me to order just for myself, and Angelica wouldn't want it anyway). I was so involved with enjoying the delicious food, that I didn't realize (when Angelica fed me some of her yummy curry chicken from her fork) that the guys at the table next to us were watching. ::snicker:: I certainly didn't realize it when I fed her some of my Hainan chicken from my chopsticks, LOL. Then they asked us if we were "friends... or best friends.... or just... friends?" It was funny, LOL.
Anyway, after that we went back to this piercing place we seem to be quite attached to in the village (around W 4th & 6th Ave) and I meant to get one piercing (3rd hole) in my left ear. But then Angelica somehow convinced me to get two piercings instead, it went something like:
(In case you couldn't tell, for some reason, I prefer my left ear over my right. Go figure.)
Anyway, Angelica ended up getting two piercings, too. I really didn't expect her to. I was just thinking about myself. LOL. I'd gotten my 2nd holes in the beginning of October, so I was waiting the suggested 3-6 weeks before you change the stud to a regular earring to get the 3rd hole. (Not because you HAVE to, just because I'm a little extra-careful that way.) And Angelica just got the 3rd week mark on that 2nd hole she got in her left ear. LOL. So now she has 3 in her left lobe, 1 in her left cartilege, and 2 in her right lobe. She says I'm ahead by 1 (3 in my right lobe, 3 in my left lobe, and 1 in my left cartilege). I didn't realize it was a contest. But hey. As long as I'm winning... >_<
After that I was quite giddy/happy 'cause of my new toys. (Uh, I mean, piercings.) And so the train and bus rides home were fun. Yay! And I got home just after midnight.
All in all quite a productive day.
In the light of day, my mom thinks they're cute, my father hates them and wants to put a padlock on my ear so that I won't (can't) get any more, and my sister loves them.
I know now why some people have countless piercings going all up the ear... it's addictive! I swear, I can't wait to get more. Although that'll really freak my father out (I'm sure he'll stay mad at me for days), and my mom will be ambivalent and say her usual "Wear them in good health," I'd love them!
I'm so not a girly-girl, sometimes I wonder how I got into piercings in the first place. I mean, I know that actually, practically 95% of the people that have several piercings aren't girly-girls, but still...
::wiggles:: They're so kawaiiiiiiiii!

"Okay. Should I get two in the left ear or one in each?"
"One in each."
"Okay. Miss? I changed my mind, I want two."
