I HATE library computers.
Jun. 25th, 2001 05:07 pmI came to the library 'cause I didn't feel like going home... and I just wanted to use the computer to check my mail which I haven't really had a lot of time to check lately 'cause I've been running around all over the place... @.@*
But anyway... you know they only give you about 20 minutes to do stuff, so I have to be quick, you know? What, with my 300 email accounts to check. o.O* So, I get to the computer and the person who was on before me was still using it, wanted another minute, that was fine with me, but then the computer froze. So I had to wait for the computer person who works for the library to come over to restart it. (As if I don't know how to restart it myself.) And I asked her if I could get some more time because all that run-around came out to about 10 minutes off of my 20-minute computer time. And she went into this long-winded explanation about how all the computers do that, so no, she couldn't give me more time. Bitch. And then she started saying, "Well, for next time, you just do ctrl-alt-delete and then, uh, what is it? Uh, I think it's End Task, uh..." At which point I wanted to smack her because I knew how to restart the stupid computer and you actually have to go to "logoff" first because it's a networked computer...
::sigh:: I hate computer incompetents who think they know everything.
So, I finally got the computer, tried to open my mail and what happens? It won't let me access my AOL mail OR my YAHOO mail. Stupid computer. And did I mention that I HATE Netscape with a passion? I think everyone should use Internet Explorer. It's MUCH better. IE doesn't completely IGNORE my HTML codes like Netscape does. -_-
Grrr... I think I'm working myself up here.
So I have to go now 'cause my time's up. Bastards.
