day 27 - a song that you wish you could play

I... would like to start out being able to play music first? If I had a keyboard I could probably play (you know, with one finger) Frére Jaques and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by memory, but that's about it. Remember that post from day 26? NOT MUSICALLY INCLINED. Those 2 seconds I took violin lessons for? Ask me how much of that I remember. Absolutely nothing.

I'd love to be able to play some hard rock or southern rock tunes on guitar, or something metal and grinding, or something dirty on bass guitar, but in the spirit of choosing something which might be somewhat plausible...

No lyrics, but I'd like to note that I made a 30-second clip of this to use as my ringtone since I saw Brick last Fall. It replaced the Still Alive (radio mix) from Portal, which I'd had as my ringtone for THREE YEARS. (If you couldn't already tell, I'm really picky about my ringtones.)

ETA: Spencer Smith kinda makes me want to play drums, though. Or, you know, fuck drummers...

Aha, you have just reminded me that I deleted all the music off my phone so I now don't have anything decent set as my ringtone. Now to spend a while deciding what I want..

Oh man, I'd go crazy having to use preselected ringtones. The first thing I do whenever I get a new phone is upload my customized one! =D

Heh, I just completely forgot about my ringtone. Partly because although I deleted my ringtone it was put back on with new music. Still haven't decided what I want.. but then again everyone texts rather than calls so..

The only ringtone I've ever had is Just Communication. The only text message notification I've ever had is Green Bird. So you're not alone XD

I used to have a short tone from Sailor Moon as my text message notification and I still would if only iPhone would let you customize text message tones without jailbreaking. T_T

LOLZ yeah, I actually saw it last night before I muted your twitter. (j/k j/k!) I passed out really early for some reason... (could be the fact that I've been getting like 3 hours of sleep for the past several nights because I keep watching damn PATD vids and squeeing and flapping hands like a fangirl...).

Dude, I need more Spencer videos. Are there any of him singing? I WANT TO HEAR HIM SING, DAMMIT. Also, why doesn't he talk in interviews as much as he used to, like when he was a bb? I MISS HIS VOICE. I LOVE THE WAY HE TALKS. (ahahah, I say "miss" like I've been a fan forever....)

Reading music is one of those amazing skills that I still have from being younger. I took piano lessons for years, and can still play a little bit, although with only one hand instead of 2 at the same time. Then I played the tenor sax for like 10 years. I haven't in almost 10, which kinda makes me sad. I loved my tenor.

I always wanted to get more into music but neither of my parents are all that musically inclined and I just wasn't surrounded by it or anything... =(
