day 16 - a song that you used to love but now hate

I don't think I actually hate Enter Sandman but I definitely overplayed it when I listened to the Black Album on repeat for months at a time (sorry Sharon, I know that was the beginning of the end for you)! As a result I just can't stand to hear it played as pretty much the representational Metallica song on the radio and TV shows, etc.

Something about Metallica circa "Enter Sandman" makes me think of two very random things:

1. Their episode of "Behind the Music".

2. How that whole album got played out to the point that it took me years for the urge to change the channel or radio station to disappear.

It's a good song though. But WAY played.

Hahaha, oh man I remember seeing that episode of Behind the Music a million times! Any time I think of it there's this one particular scene that stands out in my memory -- the narrator says how they were accused of "selling out" and Jason goes, "Yes, we sell out." *claps his hands together while he stares intensely and his neck muscles bulge* "Every seat in the house; every time we play; anywhere we play."
