Why have I never heard of this band before?
Dub Trio
Mercury Lounge
(E Houston at Essex)
Thursday 3/17/11
6:30pm doors/show
Tickets are $10, but they go on sale on Friday at noon, while I'm driving to Toronto. =/
They're homegrown (from Brooklyn) and play "tunes that simultaneously embrace metal, hip-hop, punk and reggae while pushing all of the above into dazzlingly unfamiliar areas."
Anyone want to come with? And yes, that is St. Patty's day.
Oops! Forgot to link to a song, if anyone's interested.

Another Sound is Dying is really freaking awesome! I don't know why I haven't heard of them before, and I'm really psyched that I can go see them, in a tiny venue, for $10! I saw that they've been touring as backup for Matisyahu the past year, which is also pretty awesome.
HUUUUUGGGHHHHH! <3 I WILL ATTEMPT TO PUT HIM IN THE MAIL TO IRELAND. (I suspect this will not work, but I'll try!)
