Good yaoi fics ahead.

I took a look at some of Juliet's recs for KakashixIruka, and absolutely loved this one by thehoyden. Then stumbled across her adorable Whistle! fic (MizunoxKazamatsuri) here.

Unfortunately, they're both from 2005. =(

I don't think she's been writing any KakaIru, although there may be some hope once the filler ends in February...

I watched up to episode 5 of Naruto, which is what somehow kindled my current KakaIru thing... I totally forgot that Iruka's seiyuu is Seki Toshihiko (Duo)! ♥

EDIT2: Man, WHY is it that when I find an awesome fic writer, they've already been out of the fandom for a long time? Another awesome KakaIru by thehoyden.

Did you watch/read Flame of Recca? It's very similar. But that kind of shounen incessant fighting type of story can be difficult for me to get into also. I think I just happened to be in the right mood for it. Plus, it's the manga that I got into. ^^ Suzu was nice enough to send me a whole lot of episodes of the Naruto anime last year, but I didn't even watch one episode. T_T;

I keep meaning to watch Pumpkin Scissors... and I see how much you're enjoying it, so I keep looking forward to it. =D

I have Flame of Recca, but I've never watched it. I think I have enough anime to keep me busy for years to come. ^_^

I really like Pumpkin Scissors a lot. The characters are all pretty interesting. It reminds me a little of FMA.
